Sri Manchala

Chairman & CEO

Sri Manchala is the Chairman & CEO of Trianz, a member of the Forbes Technology Council, recipient of various leadership awards, and author of Crossing the Digital Faultline - 10 Rules of Highly Successful Leaders in Digitalization. Sri founded Trianz - a Silicon Valley digital transformation services firm - in 2001, and has led its growth and positioning as a pioneer in using data-driven strategies to enable change, modernization, digital relevance and sustainable growth for clients.

Sensing new paradigms taking shape during 2013-2015, Sri re-focused Trianz on digital transformations very early. To help Trianz teams advise clients with fact-based perspectives, Sri led the creation of Trasers - a research unit entirely dedicated to digital transformation research. Trasers now has over 1.5 million (and growing) datapoints on digital transformation across 20 industries worldwide which are used for benchmarking, transformation strategy & roadmaps.

Sri has led the reshaping of Trianz service delivery and culture away from the traditional, siloed consulting industry models to data-driven, multi-disciplinary approaches that transformations demand. For four years in a row, Trianz has been named #1 by clients for business impact, predictable delivery in highly dynamic environments and relationship commitment.

An alumnus of the elite National Defense Academy, Sri served as an officer in the Indian Army in the Infantry and the Parachute Regiment-Special Forces. Sri started his corporate journey in 1994 with a short stint at Asian Paints, India’s largest paint and chemical manufacturer. Upon graduating with an MBA in strategy and organization from the University of Southern California, Sri worked with KPMG Consulting in the firm’s Silicon Valley office. He later joined Cisco Systems in the Information Technology division of the company’s headquarters prior to founding Trianz in 2001.

Combining data from 5,000+ companies and over two decades of Sri’s leadership experience, Crossing the Digital Faultline: 10 Rules of Highly Successful Leaders in Digitalization provides a non-technical perspective on the unseen forces behind tectonic shifts across industries and 10 rules that determine who survives and wins in this age of digital and COVID driven uncertainty. The anchor theme in the journey across the faultline is leadership - and so Sri describes the crisis-proof persona of successful leaders, and a practical 120-day playbook for transitioning to this persona.

Sri lives with his family in Silicon Valley and serves on the Board of Leaders of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
