Nagarro, an Information Technology and Services company, has launched a fleet of electric vehicles for use by its employees in Delhi-NCR. The company teamed up with Lithium Urban Technologies, a company that provides EV cab services in India, to deploy the aforementioned electric vehicles fleet, which will include several units of the Mahindra eVerito.

Nagarro noted that it has undertaken a phased approach to ditching petrol, diesel, and CNG vehicles and adopting greener means of transportation in their stead. In the first phase, 20 per cent of the company's fleet will be moved to electric vehicles. By the end of this year, 50 per cent of its fleet in the Gurugram office will comprise electric vehicles. The company added that with this phase, it intends to help cut down 150MT of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions annually.

The launch of the EV fleet is in sync with the company's green mobility initiative wherein the company intends to gradually switch to a completely clean and green transport system for its employees. As a matter of fact, Nagarro has already set up two fast charging stations at its Gurgaon office so as to help its employees who already own or are planning to buy electric cars, electric bikes, or electric scooters.
