The Gujarat Government has extended the night curfew in eight major cities till July 31. The decision was taken at a core committee meeting chaired by the Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Friday evening.
The Municipal corporation areas of Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar and Junagadh will remain under curfew from 10 pm to 6 am till the morning of August 1.
The State Government has decided to ease some of the restrictions for recreation activities and public transport services. From July 20, water parks and swimming pools will be allowed to operate at 60 per cent capacity, as per the Covid-19 SOP laid down by the Centre.
Also, non-AC buses can ply with full capacity while AC buses will be allowed with 75 per cent capacity.
