Nurses around the country are relieved to be able to get their booster shots of the vaccine, with appointments starting yesterday.

Studies show while the level of protection against severe Covid-19 remains high after six months, the risk of catching the virus can increase over time.
Nurses Organisation spokesperson Kate Weston said they had been strongly advocating for booster shots to be available.
"Because those nurses and other health care workers who were early adopters so they were in that very first early wave back in February, March and around that time, they're now beyond six months."
"So we really want to provide every possible support that we can for the health care work force to ensure that they are fit, well and really well protected."
All adults can book booster doses now, timed for at least six months after their second dose.
