Frequently asked questions about myQNAPcloud Storage

After your myQNAPcloud Storage subscription expires and subscription is not renewed, you will receive a reminder email. A 30-day grace period will be granted after the cloud space expires, during which you can transfer files in the myQNAPcloud Storage to another storage solution.

After the 30-day grace period, if the user has not renewed their subscription, they will receive another reminder email. At this point, the cloud space will switch to Limited Access mode, where the user can only download and delete files. Limited Access mode has a 60-day limit, allowing users to download important files to other storage spaces.

Within the 60-day period of Limited Access mode, if the user still hasn't subscribed to a plan with sufficient space, QNAP will send a final notification email 48 hours before the end of the 60-day period. After the 48 hours from the notification email (i.e., at the end of the 60 days), the data in the cloud space will be deleted until the amount of data is less than or equal to the remaining cloud capacity of the user.

When the subscription for myQNAPcloud Storage cloud space is about to expire, you have the option to subscribe to a plan with a smaller capacity according to your needs, or upgrade to a plan with the required capacity. As long as the amount of stored data does not exceed the capacity of the active subscription plan, the data will not be deleted.

Each QID can have only one subscription plan and associated cloud space in a given region and the storage space cannot be divided. To attain additional capacity, you can select an upgrade plan to access a larger capacity. If you wish to subscribe to a plan with a reduced capacity, you must first cancel the existing subscription plan before resubscribing to a plan with a smaller capacity. (Note: Before converting capacity, please ensure proper data backup).

Users can have plans with different capacities in different regions. However, the capacities of different regions cannot be automatically combined, and subscription plans in different regions cannot be merged.
