Touch ‘n Go eWallet Now Uses DuitNow Transfer For Online Banking Reloads

Touch n' Go Digital CEO Alan Ni

Back in 2021, Toucn ‘n Go Digital announced that you can transfer funds from any DuitNow supported online banking account to your TnG eWallet. Now, the company is announcing that it is moving all online banking reload functions of the eWallet from FPX to DuitNow.

So what does this mean for users? On the surface, not much, really. The process of transferring funds from your bank account to your Touch ‘n Go eWallet remains largely the same. You get your DuitNow account number from the eWallet app, and then you initiate the transfer process as if you were transferring funds to another bank account. You can save this as a favourite so that you can perform future reloads faster, but this is not a new feature.

But the company says that with DuitNow being the service in the middle, the company says that this also serves as an added security measure to reduce the risk of information being leaked. The company also says that this service means that you can transfer as little as RM1 from your bank account to your eWallet.

Naturally, this means that you’ll have to have linked your Touch ‘n Go eWallet with your DuitNow account. To do this, you’ll have to do that via the Profile section, and then hit the DuitNow button, and then select “Link your eWallet with DuitNow”. And if you don’t already have a DuitNow account, you can register by hitting this link instead.
