EXCLUSIVE: Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan's Bunty Aur Babli Again to have another Gen-Y jodi joining them
Speculations about a possible sequel to Bunty Aur Bali have been rife now and we hear, it will not just be Abhishek and Rani playing the leads. There will also be interesting additions to the star cast this time.
Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan's Bunty Aur Babli was not only a hit film but also one that was immensely loved by viewers of all age groups. 14 years later, the makers have planned a sequel and it's tentatively titled Bunty Aur Babli Again. Shaad Ali will be returning to helm the second part too.
There were several recent reports that suggested that the makers are building a set in the first week of June in Mumbai, and once it's ready, they will roll out the venture. Although the banner has maintained silence on the project, our sources have also confirmed the same. Not just that, we also hear there will be two interesting additions to the romcom.
Our informer tells us, "Unlike Bunty Aur Babli, the second installment will not have just Rani and AB Junior. There will be two pairs of actors with a jodi from the younger generation of actors joining the two main leads from the original. The story has been written in a way which requires two leading pairs. It needs to be seen if Amitabh Bachchan also reprises his role in the sequel. But as of now, the makers are currently in process of looking the Gen-Y actors for the film."
