  1. I have used UWORLD, ROSH and SMATYPANCE throughout didactic year and clinical year. I feel that out of all three of these options UWORLD has been far and away the best. All of the questions are second and third order questions, exactly like you will get on the PANCE. The question setup is also the most similar to the PANCE as is the actual format of the visuals and lab values tab. Would 100% recommend this at any stage in your prep. ROSH was good to me during clinical year, however their questions are more first order in nature. Some of the material was not as challenging as PANCE material. The benefit of rosh is the question bank is extensive and it does provide good images and tables with the answers to questions. For sure a good resource if you get through all of UWORLD. SMARTYPANCE was almost usless compared to the other two. Questions do not compare to the PANCE. The only thing worthwhile is the interactive blueprint which is good for content review when paired with PANCE PREP PEARLS. Here is a discount code for UWORLD: https://www.uworld.com/referral/pareferral.aspx?code=ANSA-5575-TAQZ Good luck! What questions can I answer?
  2. Deciding between two offers in the SouthEast LCOL city. New grad. I have no preference to either specialty however I know long term in the future I want to be in outpatient med as I start a family. Job 1: FM at a rural FQHC Base salary: 112K + “annual bonuses” Schedule: M-F 8-5 with one afternoon off and one hour lunches ~18 patients per day 4 weeks PTO +holidays Great malpractice and insurance benefits 401k (4 % match) CME (heard it’s not the greatest) 10k signing bonus Possibility for NHSC loan repayment. The site has a score of 16 so I know that is borderline. Job 2: ER (fast track seeing 4/5’s mostly) at level 3 trauma center Base salary 121k. Any extra shift is paid out at 800 flat. 13 10s a month, varied schedule but no completely overnight shifts ~2.5 pts per hour Malpractice CME is 2.5 K yearly 401k (3.5%) Insurance No PTO, work every other Holliday, work 6 weekend shifts a month (Fri/sat/Sun) 2K signing bonus
  3. Late May. Yes, they sent an email and yes I took the CASPer
  4. Has anyone received an email about their CASPA being received or processed? After filling out the grad school application I was sent a generic email that my app had been submitted but nothing specifically from the PA program.
  5. I have heard that in the past St. Francis has had problems placing students into rotations. Do you feel like this is something to worry about? Also is it true that the next cohort will be doubling in size? Interview: July 26
  6. Has anyone received a secondary or email that your verified caspa application was received?
  7. Ok Cool. How long did it take after you were verified? Did they just send it through email?
