9/11 anniversary: New Zealand’s leaders reflect on the day which shook the world

This weekend marks two decades since the 9/11 terror attacks rocked the United States to its core, ushering in a new ‘war on terror’ and changing the world forever.

While America's leaders tried to comprehend and respond to the disaster, New Zealand's leaders too, were forced to react.

As each year passes it becomes a more distant memory but the images of that day are unforgettable.

Newshub Nation asked Former Prime Ministers Helen Clark and Jim Bolger, along with former Foreign Affairs Minister Phil Goff to reflect on that horrible day, twenty years on.
