Former Auditor-General Lyn Provost has been appointed as the new independent Commissioner for Parliamentary Standards.

It followed a bruising month for Parliament, with an investigation under way after past incidents were revealed about new Tauranga MP Sam Uffindell, as well as Labour MP Gaurav
