This week, we were delighted to join this industry round table event hosted by Philip Duffy, alongside other representatives from the Environment Agency supply chain community, to talk about the future of flood and coastal erosion risk management. Andrew Bradshaw, group managing director of our Natural Resources, Nuclear & Networks division said: "We are committed to improving the environment now and for future generations, so much so that it forms a central part of our Building for a Sustainable World framework. "Having the opportunity to help shape a collaborative culture with our framework partners and a very proactive client, was also great to be part of. The sharing of best practices on topics including design, risk, governance and funding helps us all to drive innovation and progress the delivery of the Environment Agency's capital programme."
We want to make sure our flood defences are ready for the future. Collaborating with our top Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management (FCERM) suppliers allows us to accelerate our use of innovative solutions against flooding. Our Chief Executive, Philip Duffy, hosted a round table for some of our lead commercial suppliers in the FCERM space. They had important discussions about how we can continue to provide the best value and productivity when protecting our communities against flooding.

We're thrilled to announce our partnership with X-energy UK and Cavendish Nuclear, working together to develop the next generation of UK nuclear reactors. The Advanced Modular Reactors are designed to have a substantial proportion of modules prefabricated in factory conditions and transported to site for assembly, allowing for a construction time of just three to four years. The announcement comes as X-energy and Cavendish Nuclear have been awarded £3.34m from the Government's Future Nuclear Enabling Fund, which has been matched by X-energy to provide a total value of £6.68m.
