Description
Sound recording of President John F. Kennedy’s remarks at The Lighting of the National Christmas Tree for the 1962 Pageant for Peace held on the White House Ellipse Grounds. In his speech President Kennedy expresses gratitude for certain citizens celebrating abroad, and discusses the ways in which Christmas symbolizes the necessity of living in harmony with one’s neighbors.
