Cowboy Doms #3

Submitting to the Cowboy

Rate this book
Tamara Barton had lusted after Connor Dunbar ever since she was old enough to know what those stirrings meant whenever he was near. Connor’s refusal to see her as anything but the young girl he’d befriended and protected for years soon drives them apart, but not before she catches an up-close, personal glimpse of him exerting the dominant control she’d heard rumors about.

Connor regretted the harsh words he’d spoken to Tamara when he caught her spying on him as much as his lustful response to the look of need reflected on her face. He’d been looking after the neighbor girl since the moment he saw her falling off her first horse at the age of ten and didn’t plan on stopping now that she was a grown woman who thought she wanted their relationship to go in a different direction. He knew his sexual proclivities were not for the young, sweet kid he was so fond of, and wouldn’t jeopardize their special bond by giving in to her desires.

But Tamara always had a way of getting what she wanted and when he saw she was serious about becoming a member of the private BDSM club he owned with his brother and best friend, Connor discovered he didn’t want her submitting to anyone but him. When he learns she’d kept things from him that could have impacted her welfare, would he allow his failure to protect her to drive another wedge between them or finally embrace a life with her at his side as more than just a cherished friend?

This is book three in the Cowboy Doms series but reads as a standalone.

I live in the Midwest with my husband and two dogs, enjoy spending time with my daughter, babysitting her two dogs, reading and working puzzles. We have traveled extensively, but I much prefer being a homebody.

I began writing erotic novels with an emphasis on erotic spanking five years ago never dreaming that I would get published. I just celebrated the release of my eleventh title and am very thankful to my publisher, Pink Flamingo, for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a fun career. While my earlier books lean more towards straight erotica that will appeal to only a very select audience, my last five books are erotic romances. I enjoy hearing all comments from readers. BE A BAD GIRL FOR A CHANGE

What a great addition to a new series, Cowboy Doms. There are several authors that as soon as I see a new book by them, I can’t wait to read, and Ms. BJ Wane is one of those authors. She has a way of spinning a tale, with a great cast of characters, and wonderful dialog and interaction. Her women are strong, feisty, and her men are dominant alphas, making for a perfect combination.

The story is a bittersweet tale of friends that go their separate ways and many years later have a second chance at happiness. But, one is more than stubborn and doesn’t allow a relationship to grow—wanting to remain a friend and protector. Words said in anger, hurt feelings, will keep her away—but it also robs her of time with her father and stepmother. Now, Tamara is back, her father has passed away, and she is running the ranch, dealing with issues, and trying to cope with the distance still between her and Conner. What are best girlfriends for but encouragement and to prod Tamara into exploring into BDSM at The Barn, a club owned by the Dunbar brothers and the Sheriff?

The story is the journey into the BDSM lifestyle and for Conner and Tamara to explore their feelings. While she has been in love with Conner for more years than she can count, he still treats her like a child that he protects. When he sees her as a woman, one who is openly exploring the club, he freaks out, this isn’t supposed to happen, and he is determined to scare her off. The push and pull in their relationship keeps the pages turning and the chemistry between them sizzles off the pages, even if he doesn’t want to accept it. Will they be able to make things work now that they are both older? Or will he want to keep things as they used to be? What will open up Conner’s eyes to the truth?

The story includes continuing trouble happening with cattle rustlers and multiple incidences at the Barton ranch. It will contain explicit sex scenes and BDSM scenes in The Barn and other locations. This is a continuing saga and will have many people from the other books in this series.

“Thus began a friendship he never imagined would grow into an obsession to see to this girl’s every need, including ensuring her safety and happiness.

The third book in the Cowboy Doms series moves away from the damsel-in-distress trope to focus on the relationship between Cowboy Dom Connor Dunbar and Tamara Barton, who's had a crush on him since she was a kid. He doesn't want to involve his "innocent" friend in his kinky sexcapades, but she's not good at being told no.

I like the change of pace in this book, and though Connor's constant denial of his feelings for Tamara got a little repetitive, I admire the way he tried to look out for her (even if she didn't need it). Overall, this is a very good kinky romance.

Conner:
From the time Conner was 18 years old he was always looking after Tamara. Then five years ago she went away he knew why she went and wasnt proud of himself. Now five years later she is back and he is looking forward to renewing his friendship. The only thing is can she get past what she said to him.

Tamara
She always loved Conner, but when she saw him and the lady together in the barn she was stunned, then he said those aweful words to her, it nearly broke her, so she left. Now five years later seeing him again she realises she still loves him, and wants to go into his world to see BDSM and see the other things which go on in there. But Conner is adamant that this is not for her. And shows her what he expects never knowing that she really enjoys his touch the way he spanks her.

These two really do love each other, but of course Conner is stubborn, but it takes him awhile to realise how he really feels.
Loved this story to bits, it is hot, exciting and i even laughed at a few parts. Well done 5 +stars

This was the 3rd book on the Cowboy Doms series by BJ Wane. A quick read of one very stubborn cowboy and one determined young lady. The chemistry between Connor and Tamara is off the charts but Connor is stubborn and does his best to keep it to just "friends" between them. Tamara had left years ago when Connor broke her heart but she is back and will do whatever she needs to do to make him see her as more than just a friend. Can she do it? Hot, steamy and sexy, you might want to keep a fan close by while you read this book!! It's sure to start a fire inside!!!

This is the 3rd book in the series and it can be read as a stand-alone. Connor has been watching over Tamara since she was a kid. Eight years may separate their age but when Tamara was an adult, she let Connor know what she wanted and he rejected her. Now she is back, will he be able to continue to stay away? Fast-paced read with plenty of drama and loads of steam. I loved it!

Submitting to the Cowboy is the third in this series by BJ Wane, and I have enjoyed all of the books so far. Although this is a series all the books can be read as standalones but, I believe, are more enjoyable if you read them in order. We met Connor in the first two books, he runs a BDSM Club the Barn, together with his brother and the sheriff both of whom found their significant other in the previous two books. Connor has been very down for months and his family and friends are under the mistaken idea that it was because his girlfriend had cheated on him, this is not the reason at all. Connor has been worried about his next door neighbour Tamara, he calls her Tam, they have been close friends since she was ten years old and he taught her to ride a horse. Five years before, Connor caught Tamara spying on him and said some very cruel things to her which resulted in her leaving to go and work away from home. Although Tamara was engaged and tried to build a life without Connor, she cannot bear to be aware from her home and friends and following the death of her father she returns to run the family ranch. She broke off her engagement because she realised that she was actually still in love with Connor but he is so stubborn that he will not even consider any relationship other than close friends. Tamara decides to try the BDSM lifestyle and goes to the Barn as a guest of her friend Nan, Connor will not countenance Tamara scening with another Dom. They have great chemistry but Connor is very very stubborn, will he realise and stop being so intransigent or will Tamara find another Dom? I really enjoyed this quick read which moved at a fast pace and kept me entertained for a couple of hours. As with all Ms Wane's books there is another back story to bring further interest and there are fun and games before an inevitable HEA. Great fun highly recommend.

He’d been her best friend, her greatest adjutant eight years older they had been
Tamara had had her crush on Connor Dunbar since she was old enough and he had been the older neighbour that had her friend, her confidant and her rescuer at times and then he had helped her ride her first horse, jump her first fence and then after that one day and a moment of unschooled words and this had all ended. She had left for five years to work in Boise and the only thing that had brought her back home to live was the death of her beloved father and her world had seemed so much smaller, she returned back to the ranch the place that held her heart and her friend’s she had missed it and needed it almost as much as air.
Connor has never forgotten the day his words had hurt her and she had fled her home and the only parents that had ever loved her and he had missed their friendship, her grey eyes and smiling face however, the face he had looked on at the funeral had been so haunted by her fathers death but she had returned to run the ranch to help run it alongside her stepmother and trusted ranch manager.
Tamara had decided to go to the BDSM club owned by Connor and his brother and the sheriff and trying to comprehend that she was a grown woman and that she had submissive tendencies was not comprehensible to him however he would soon learn that she was determined to test the waters and this in turn tested him.
This is book three in the Cowboy Doms series but reads as a standalone.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the third book in the Cowboy Doms series. In this book, Connor is to start rehab for his shoulder where he was shot chasing the cattle rustlers. When Connor goes to the clinic, he learns the new therapist is Tamara, the young woman who lived next door to him. Tamara recently moved back to town after he father died and she inherited his ranch. Tamara has known Connor since she was 10 years old and moved in with her father and step-mother. Connor has looked after Tamara her whole life and they were close friends, but they had a falling out and Tamara left town for good. Now that she is back, she knows she is in love with Connor, but he refuses to see her as a grown woman. Tamara learns about The Barn, the BDSM club Connor wons with his brother and their friend, the sheriff. An old friend of Tamara's Nan is a member of the club and invites her to go with her there. Tamara agrees and Connor is not happy to see her there. Connor tries to get her to leave, but Tamara is determined to show Connor she can handle the lifestyle. Connor fights Tamara every step of the way. Tamara's ex fiance shows up and wants her back, but Tamara doesn't want anything to do with him. I really enjoyed this story. I love how Connor fought with himself and thought he knew what Tamara needed. I thought he really cared for Tamara and he needed a swift kick to realize it. Tamara was a good woman and she deserved someone who would love her. I think she was stronger than Connor thought she was. It was good to read about the other characters also. Good one.

Submitting to the Cowboy is the third book in the Cowboy Doms series. Connor has been in a funk for the past few months, but is trying to turn his enthusiasm around - for life, for being a master in his club, and for becoming close friends again with Tamara, the girl next door. They’ve always had a close friendship, until about five years ago, but now she’s back for good. Tam has only had eyes and her heart set on Con all her life, but will she be able to live in his world of dominance and can she convince him to take a chance on love?

I was so excited to get to read this book and once I started, I did not put the book down until it was over. I loved Tamara and Connor! I loved Tam’s sweetness, her zest for life, her enjoyment of the little things, and I loved her strength. Connor was such a dominant, alpha male, but he was so afraid of both commitment and losing the special bond with Tam. With a whole lot of back and forth, they have a lot to overcome, a lot to lose, and some big hearts full of love! They had some really passionate scenes, a few moments that made me want to cry, and I just fell in love with this couple! I enjoyed some of the background story, too, such as the craziness that was happening around the ranch and her ex showing up, and I loved all of the side characters. While there are people who show up from previous books, you don’t have to have read them to fully understand this book... that being said, this series is amazing, captivating, entertaining, emotional, and passionate! I love Ms. Wane’s writing, and I loved reading this book!

I am voluntarily writing this review for this book I received through Booksprouts arc.

Conner is recuperating from a gun shot in his arm after he chased the
rustler. He was heading into the Barn the BDSM club that he and his brothers owned. Tamara had moved back to town to the ranch next to Connor’s. Connor couldn’t believe that she was back in town the last time he saw her it didn’t end well. Tamara’s job was as a physical therapist and it was her first day and she was getting ready for her first client. Connor comes into the office Tamara was shocked to see he was her client. Connor told his brothers that Tamara was back in town and she was the physical therapist. The ladies told her about the club and how each one found they way there. She told them that she would go with them to the but she only wanted to watch. She is in the club when Master Devin came over to talk to her friends they were told her that Master Devin would be able to show her around. Connor sees her with Master Devin over a spanking bench he couldn’t believe she was there. Connor goes to his appointment with Tamara and he told her he didn’t
think that she would be submissive. Tamara decided she was going to the club no matter what Connor had to say. Connor sees her at the club again with Master Devin. Connor comes walking over and Master Devin tells her to work out what’s going on with Master Connor. Jeremy showed up at Tamara house she told him it was over and asked him to leave and not come back again. Things went from bad to worse, twists, turns and arson. Very Exciting Read

Here is a difficult love story that involves second and third chances, that is perhaps way too much to say, but it felt like continous extra chances. But of course the two leading characters being friends, well, certain things have to happen before something else can happen? right? and with the addedd BDSM view that blends into this whole story and that lifestyle that goes withi it. Well it all makes for a very interesting reading and one which I really enjoyed. What I didn´t enjoy at all was that this story was only available in pdf format and even though I get this story to review it and am therefore not paying for it I am still giving my time which ultimately can be viewed as money as well. But to not offer other more easily readable forms I find just not good at all and almost unacceptable and there I feel Booksprout should also dip in. They actually sent the story in MOBI format but only really late and by that time I had somehow slaved myself through this pdf... So much for that but the story was good even though it was difficult to read in this format and I actually asked the author to pull me off this review as I just hate reading pdf as I can´t read it on my phone only on the copmotuer... But still this story should not suffer from the way the author makes his blunders... So therefore I am giving this good story beautiful four stars!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

How old is this author? I swear if I hear 'orifice' one more time, I'll go crazy. All the intimate scenes are full of 5th grade sex ed/old school terms and it's incredibly awkward and clinical. It's hard to find something sexy when you're talking about someone's orifice or 'womb' repetitively.

Connor was utterly frustrating as a hero. I loved him and his easy-going self in previous books. But in this one, he came off as a complete jerk and I hated him. He didn't just push Tamara away, he pushed her away by using harsh words and actions and it wasn't okay. It was utterly heartbreaking to see the way Con treated Tam. It's not until the last 20% that they even get together for good (well, he runs again after throwing a temper tantrum). Even though he wasn't a complete jerk in the end, I still couldn't find many redeeming qualities about him.

I liked Tamara. She was smart and strong (except when it came to Connor). She didn't shy away from putting her ex in his place or even the bad employee when he was misbehaving. I just wish she had more of a backbone when it came to Connor and refrained from letting him manipulate their friendship to one that was only suitable for him.

The suspense was pretty predictable, as always.

I still have a hard time wrapping my head around so many Doms and subs living in one small town. It's not very realistic at all, but I guess that's why it's a book.

This is book three in the Cowboy Doms series but can comfortably be read as a standalone. This book centers on Connor's story. His neighbor, Tamara, just moved back to the adjoining ranch after the death of her father and they have a history. She was the pesky little girl that he helped out of scrapes and he was the object of her affection. Now she's a physical therapist in addition to owning the ranch, and all grown up. Despite her intentions of keeping her distance, they are thrown to together and old feelings surface. In addition, her friends take her to The Barn and she finds herself interested in exploring BDSM. Connor is not happy about that at all. To him, she is still a little girl in need of saving, which makes his desire for her uncomfortable for him. This adds to ups and downs on their way to a relationship. We get to catch up on the other couples in the series and the cattle rustler story continues affecting both Connor's and Tamara's ranches. I enjoyed this book as much as the others in the series and it's a great light read. My only problem with the series is that doesn't appear to be anyone in the vicinity who does not participate in the activities at The Barn. That must make it very odd when doing normal activities in town and provides not a single bit of privacy for anyone. But then again, it's only fiction!

Spicy hot Cowboy Dom romance with a side of rustlers

Connor has spent years avoiding his attraction to the much-younger Tamara, a girl he's protected and befriended since she was 10 and he was 18. But that was twenty years ago, and it's high time he sees her as the woman she has become.

Tamara's back in town, living on the ranch next door, and she's more than happy to use The Barn - the local BDSM club that Connor is part-owner of - to show just how grown up she is now.

While it's understandable that Connor would hesitate with a much younger Tamara years before, it's hard to envision his still treating her as a child when she's thirty years old. His insistence on proving that she's not cut out to be a sub nearly danced right up to the edge of abuse, as if he was angry with himself for his attraction to her yet taking his anger out on her backside. Not the best form for a responsible Dom.

Outside of those scenes, the story worked beautifully. Tamara's return home helped bring the ring of rustlers to justice, and it was terrific to see her get her girlfriend time with the other ladies who frequent The Barn. Their HEA seemed a bit unfinished, but it did leave them in a good space to hope for more. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This is the story of Connor and Tamara. Connor is a dom who brought a club sub home for a tryst in the the hay barn which was witnessed by his neighbour Tamara. Connor was shocked at the time as she has always pulled on his protective instincts every time he saw her and said some hurtful things to Tamara which he didn't mean. Tamara has had a thing for Connor since she was 10 years old and was so upset that he only saw her as a nuisance adolescence that she moved away weeks later too hurt by his comments to stay. After failing to make a life for herself and breaking up with her fiance Jeremy she returns to oversee her fathers ranch after his death which is the neighboring ranch to Connor's.

She takes a job working in a clinic offering physical therapy and Connor is there to be treated after his gunshot wound to the shoulder several weeks earlier.

Connor can't get his head around his feelings for Tamara and is determined to keep her off limits and protect her like he has always done but once he sees that Tamara is going to explore BDSM by herself anyway he decides that he is the only person he will allow to show her.

This book has a good storyline and I will definitely be looking for more books from this author.

This was my least favourite of this series. There really wasn’t much of a story to it and I feel like it ended rather abruptly.

Pretty much every single romance novel follows the same formula: boy meets girl, they fall in love, some big drama happens and there’s a fight, they realize the error of their ways, get back together and live happily ever after. This book was no different, except the “fight” was absolutely ridiculous. It made no sense to me that Conor would break up with Tamara because he wanted to be there for her...? She didn’t tell him about the vandalism that was going on at her ranch and he figured that it’s because they had escalated their relationship. So he decides to end things with her because he wants to be there for her, but then has a big epiphany that he can be there for her more if they are together...? Like really buddy? You think you can dump a girl who you KNOW has been in love with you since she was 10 years old, and go back to being her friend and protector? And then all of a sudden he’s like “wait a minute! I can be her friend and protector AND be with her?!” It made no sense! It was the stupidest “fight” ever! And then they get back together and the book just ends.

At ten years old, Tamara found herself moving to Montana to live with a father she'd never met and his wife. Her mother had left with her current boyfriend. Trying to adjust to a new school, new family, and the fear of further abandonment gave her the determination to accomplish things that would allow her to fit in. That's how she found herself on a pony ride at a school outing when she had no idea how to ride. One minute she was a scared nervous wreck and the next she was relaxed enough to let go of the reins with one hand to pet the horse's neck. The next thing she knew, she was sliding off the horse. Before she completely fell out of the saddle she was rescued by an eighteen-year-old boy named Connor. He just caught her, helped her back in the saddle, and wouldn't you know, they were neighbors. From then on, Connor and Tamara had a very special relationship until the day she saw something that set Connor off and he lost his cool and couldn't take back what he said. That's when she left without a word or goodbye and moved away. BJ Wane had brought out all the emotions of this relatable story with characters that are so perfectly flawed it's almost like I knew them. Each story in this "Cowboy Doms" series just keeps getting better as we go along.

Submitting to the Cowboy is the third book in rock star BJ Wane’s Cowboy dom series. It’s been a very hot and steamy series thus far, and book three did not disappoint, in fact, it got me wanting my very own cowboy dom.
While you can read this as a standalone book, it will make much more sense and give you a better background on the other characters is you read Submitting to the Rancher and Submitting to the Sheriff first.
If you have been following along, we finally get to bad boy cowboy Connor Dunbar. He’s the cranky cowboy who got shot in the last book after chasing cattle rustlers. His last woman cheated on him, and the guy was vanilla. Connor is a dom.
Tamara “Tam” Baker has just moved back to the neighboring ranch. She’s always had a crush on Connor, but when she caught him and another woman doing kinky things, Connor yelled at her. Now, she’s back, and Connor is about to be surprised by the grown-up version of Tam, who he still thinks is too young for his lifestyle. Tam sets out to prove him wrong. Will he learn? Or will the cattle rustlers be an even bigger problem?
Tune in and grab a copy today to find out. You know you want to! (Yes, it’s THAT good!)

Many of us can relate to having a childhood crush on an older man, perhaps your brother's friend, or the next door neighbor. In this story it is Tamara that has the crush on Connor, the young man on the ranch next to the one she lives on. And he treats her as a kid sister. Someone to teach, such as riding a horse, and to protect. He ignores any feelings he might have for her, because she is the kid next door, right? Even after she grows up. His denial and her unrequited desire leads her to leave the ranch for many years, only to return when her father dies so she can run the ranch while also working as a physical therapist. She is reunited with Connor much sooner than she was prepared for when he shows up as one of her patients. He is still denying his feelings, and she is desperately trying to ignore her own. Connor owns a BDSM club with 2 other men and when Tamara shows up, his protective instincts come forth, and he finds he cannot envision her submitting to anyone but him. I won't spoil any more than that, but it is a well told tale, and worth the read.

What a hypocrite Connor that is, jeez. Chapter 4 ugh!
Quote 1.
“No, little one. Caden pointed out you’re a grown woman, and an invited guest. But you don’t belong here. You’re way too… naïve for what goes on in this place and do not understand what you’re subjecting yourself to. You need to go home.”
Quote 2.
"He couldn’t lose her again, but sure as hell couldn’t stand by and watch her submit to masterful men he shared close ties to. Their demands would taint the fresh innocence that didn’t belong here, and he said as much to Caden."
Quote 3.
"“Honest and pretty.” Devin bent down and brushed his mouth over hers. “If you return and want to try something else, look me up.” With a nod and knowing smile toward Connor, he pivoted and joined the man waiting several feet away.

“That was nice of him,” she said as Connor tugged her toward the doors.

Sliding one open, he ushered her outside with a hand on her lower back. “He’s not nice. No one here is nice. You need to remember that.”"

This is not possessiveness, this is hypocrisy.

In that Connor's context Avery, Nan and Sidney are looking like whores. He is really disgusting.

This is the third book in the Cowboy Doms series and while each is a book on each on itself, believe me, you want to read each one, as the books are a family of friends in the BDSM Community. In this book, we are getting to know brother Conner better and the neighbor girl Tam (Tamara) who is finally back after being gone from her father's Ranch for 5 long years. She's quite a bit younger than Conner and had a thing for him as a kid and walked in on him as he was with a sub in the barn and well let's say Conner let her know she should not show up without being invited. After that, she moved away and stayed away from his ranch for 5 long years. Yes, that had him realizing something that we all knew he knew deep down and it shows up at her daddy's passing.
Now Tam is back at her Ranch minus on ex and so she is free to discover if she is into kink. Conner insists she is not and Tam thinks she is. Battle of the Dom/Sub.
I really love how our author includes the characters from past & future books in each book, It not that this community of Willow Ridge is a small town but the BDSM THE BARN is more of a Family in itself.
I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Their Inevitable

The third book in the Cowboy Dom’s Series is my kind of heaven, by the great BJ Wane, her BDSM reads are simply a joy to read! Full of intrigue, grief, guilt, a young adoring crush, with a big ol’ stubborn Dom. The perfect read of this genre and one I can highly recommend. Stepping up!!

Sometimes you just want to smack a man upside of the head and yell "snap out of it"!! (Nod to Cher).
Talk about stubborn and with blinders on, Connor can't or won't see the beautiful woman Tamara has become, he insists on seeing his younger child sidekick he looked over.
After an incident and words were exchanged, Tamara fled years ago, and when she came home to visit she made sure to stay out of his way.
But now she's back and if he isn't interested in introducing her to his club and lifestyle and seeing her as a woman, others are.
Connor's attitude gets adjusted when he realizes that Tamara is serious about her choices, other men make a move on her, he gets a verbal kick in the pants and the light goes on and the stubborn switch gets flicked off!
Talk about heat! Once the spark is lit, it is unstoppable! Add in some intrigue, suspense, some danger, our band of great characters and a man and woman who were always destined to be together and we have another fantastic installment into this series!
I'm loving these cowboys!! Keep them coming!

I really enjoyed this friends to lovers, older man/younger woman romance. The BDSM heat is well balanced with intense emotions, as Tamara and Connor's story unfolds. I could feel for both these characters. Tam's unrequited feelings toward Connor were realistic and painful. I think everyone has been in this boat at some point in their lifetime. At the same time though, I could feel for Connor. His frustration, anger and regret over his unexpected attraction to Tam and his actions fit his character beautifully. His determination to not risk their friendship and his refusal to acknowledge both their feelings and that she wasn't a kid anymore caused him to lash out, push her away and hurt them both in the process. This engaging read also offers drama, suspense and danger. I admit I love a book that can offer both heat and heart and I felt that this book did that very well. This is my frank, freely posted review.

Stubborn Cowboy

This was another fun story in this series the neighbors daughter... I like the parts where her friends the couples from earlier books continue to be involved in stories. Connor really spends too much time resisting... and when he finally gets into the relationship it is only a week and he freaks again... surely he should have Recognised he needed to give her more strict instructions or moved her in with him so she couldn't hide stuff... I am baffled why he thought breaking off their sexual relationship was going to make him better able to keep her safe... I hope he and her appear in some of the future books because their story could do with a bit more... it was very interesting to read, but it had soo much potential... I also was a little disappointed the cattle rustlers didn't turn out to include a female sub or something... but its probably good they don't have a thief at the club... although a cat burglar outfit might have been fun...

Connor is a ranch owner and part owner of a BDSM club; Tamara inherited a nearby ranch, and they have been friends since she was 12 and he was 18 – which was 18 years ago. As she grew she fell in love with him, but he spurned her so she moved away. Now she’s back, running the ranch she inherited, and wants Connor but he still sees her as a friend. She gets invited to the club by her lady friends and he prevents her from spending time with other Doms. It takes a long time for him to realize he has always loved her, and the story takes some twists and turns in getting there. It is a good story, but I found Connor’s indecision about Tamara just too hard to believe and a lot of the story was spent in seeing him pull back from the relationship they both wanted until he finally got there.

Tamara had a king size crush on Connor as she was growing up but he crushed her and sent her on her way and she has never got over it so she left town . Now 5 years she has returned her father has died and she has returned to inherit the ranch and she still has feelings for Connor but he is determined to keep her in the friend zone and protect her at all cost. Connor is not only a local ranch owner but he is also a partner in a local BDSM club "The Barn" when Tamara is invited by a friend Connor's protective instincts kick into overdrive and he keeps all the Dom's away from her but is it more than protectiveness or something more. Will he finally give in and admit he has feelings for her You will have to read to see. This is a great addition to the series and though each is a complete stand alone do yourself a favour and read them all

The third book of "Cowboy Doms" brings two old friends back together again. Connor and Tamara had been neighbors for most of Tamara`s life, and Connor had been her secret love almost since they first met. But how to transition from the "little one", the almost younger sister Connor saw her as to a grown woman with very un-sisterly feelings.
With the help of her friends, her step-mom and even Connor's brother it takes a lot of work and pain to get Connor to admit his true feelings not only to Tam, but first of all to himself.
Being a Dom, caring for the well-being of others is ingrained and here his feelings and his code of honor are in conflict.
The BDSM only plays a minor role in this book, it is more to help bond than to actually facilitate the relationship.

Dreaded having to read this! Painful!

After reading most of Chapter One, I tossed this down and didn't pick it up for quite a few days. Dreading the whole having to get through the nasty 'after reunion' when Connor previously ran Tamera off and she left town for YEARS, after his careless, embarrassed ranting, only to her just having returned, had me gritting my teeth! Very, very, reluctantly, I decided to finish it. The author seemed to add in previously unknown scenes throughout, that made the whole thing barely tolerable, until I had finally forgiven him, and warmed up to them as a couple- then SMACK! The author abruptly ends the book with no epilogue! Very disappointed. 1.5 stars. Grammar was good, and liked Nan and her friends and stepmother, Amy. Hopefully, the rest will go on sale or this will be the end for me.
