Celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of Sir Joseph Bazalgette
The U3A Network for South East Greater London and the London Metropolitan Archives present :

Down the Drain an in depth study of the history of London's drainage right through to the current Tideway Project.

Our Programme will include: Professor David Perrett, Chair of GLIAS, Nick Higham, journalist,The Friends of Crossness with their twenty foot working model of Crossness Pumping Station,The Education Department of the Tideway Project and poetry (yes poetry) from theKeats House Poetry Ambassadors telling you everything you could ever wish to
know about London's sewers.

Refreshments on arrival and lunch are included in the ticket pice .
