About 1 in 5 New Zealand adults experience mental health challenges in any year

Mental Health First Aid Aotearoa (MHFA) is an evidence-based training programme designed to give individuals the skills they need to provide support to people experiencing mental health challenges.

We believe that by increasing individuals' Capacity to Care and mental health literacy, we can help build stronger, more supportive communities, families and workplaces.

The programme will boost confidence, foster supportive behaviours, and diminish stigma. Tailored specifically for New Zealand, this dynamic and engaging programme provides a safe space for participants to learn, reflect, and go away prepared with the tools and resources needed to make a difference.

We want to acknowledge Te Pou as the licence host for the programme.
