It will be reviewed next Monday, October 18.

Jacinda Ardern said the decision will be reviewed next Monday, October 18.

Restrictions slightly eased last week, with a phased roadmap released.

In step one, Aucklanders were allowed to have outdoor picnics, early childhood centres could open and recreational activities were permitted, all with restrictions on numbers.

The steps are to be reviewed each week.

At step two retail would open with facemasks and distancing rules, pools, libraries, museums and zoos would open, and the number of people who can meet outdoors will increase to 25.

Auckland schools will also not reopen on October 18.
