FGR Workshop: Presenting your Research Confidently 2 In-Person

Presenting your research ideas and outcomes to others can be daunting. But, having done all the hard work, you don't want your efforts to be undermined by an underwhelming oral presentation.

This series of THREE practical, interactive sessions will give you the skills and techniques you need to present your research findings clearly and persuasively. Workshop numbers are limited to ensure that each participant will receive direct coaching and feedback from the facilitators and group members.

Who is the workshop for?

This workshop series will benefit PhD students who:

  • are uncomfortable or nervous at the thought of presenting research findings at seminars, conferences or an oral defence
  • want direct feedback on how they present
  • have a presentation scheduled in the near future

What will we do?

Coaching will include strategies for:

  • reducing stress and nerves, and speaking with ease
  • selecting appropriate information for your specific audience
  • highlighting key information
  • engaging your listeners
  • preparing for ensuing questions

Please note that you must register for and attend all three sessions: Tuesdays October 15, 22 and 29: 1-3.30pm

Register for Session 3 here: https://vuw.libcal.com/event/5209651
