Vijay Barse on Jhund: I am excited to watch the film
Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Jhund' is all set to hit the theatres tomorrow. The film, which is based on the life of sports teacher Vijay Barse marks the Bollywood debut of director Nagraj Manjule.
On the eve of Jhund's release, Barse shares, "I was quite impressed to see the trailer. The emotions have been captured so well. It was heartening to see some of my slum soccer students featured in the film.
Also, narrow bylanes of Nagpur are shown so beautifully. My journey, which was full of obstacles and challenges, will be shown on the big screen. I am excited to watch the film."

The film also features 'Sairat' stars Rinku Rajguru and Akash Thosar in brief roles, while Chhaya Kadam is playing Amitabh Bachchan's wife. The film was majorly shot in Nagpur, which is Barse's hometown.
In one of our previous chats, the 75-year-old Barse had told us, “Nagraj had come to meet me last year and he shared his wish to make a film on me. I was unaware of who he was, as I do not watch television much and had not seen 'Sairat' as well.”
