Sharma Drama ends in Karma Nirvana

So he’s out.

Sharma has been expelled after he manufactured personal grievance into political ambition.

In my opinion, the good Dr very astutely calculated he was gone at the next election and decided to ride the Millennial culture wave of victimisation and allegation-minus-evidence free fire zone social media Lynch mobs have mutated into post Me Too.

He has run a one man band hit job against the Government and in doing so is lauded by Right Wing Trolls for outing the sociopathic bullies of evil ‘Cindy’.

For the political Left, they see Sharma for the grandstanding little grasper that he is, for the woke left, the intersectionist privilege of patriarchal power dynamics demands we B-E-L-I-E-V-E all victims and so they are intellectually held hostage by that dogma and are endlessly chasing their tails trying to know who to cancel.

In short, Sharma’s crusade won’t cost Labour in the Polls, and it won’t gain the Right an advantage either, but what it will do is amplify the level of toxic debate the 2023 election is set to run on.

Labour won’t cast him out and force a by-election using the waka jumping legislation because 1 – that WILL look like bullying and 2 – Labour might not win a bell weather electorate.

In terms of any legitimacy of Sharma’s claims on OIA avoidance and bullying? It’s all garbage and pretend evidence that fantasists who have nothing panic pump up.

The evidence he has shown to date doesn’t actually stack up under scrutiny, that’s why his calculations have been so Machiavellian and damage maximising. He’s not doing this for genuine grievance, he’s doing it for naked ambition.

He will attempt to get speaking time so he can defame Labour without legal ramifications and he will continue to try and drip feed whatever he can generate from any interaction with anyone over the last 18months as proof positive of a grand conspiracy against him.

The Left will ignore him, the right will celebrate his heroism and the voters of Hamilton West might feel special for the first time in their entire lives from all the attention and actually elect him as an Independent in the 2023 election.

When Sharma speaks about his grievances, those other ethnic minority communities in his electorate hear a familiar narrative in their lived experiences of racism in its multi-faceted engagements and that narrative is compelling to those voters.

That and this is the first time anyone (including in Hamilton) even knew there was a Hamilton West electorate, that kind of tingly excitement at being the centre of attention makes voters feel special and can generate upsets.

It is a perfectly feasible and possible outcome that Sharma rides his political martyrdom all the way through as an independent and wins the seat in 2023.

Sharma will be a political wound that will only become more infected, in normal political times, he would be swept away by the usual tides of democracy, but in these extreme and stressed out times, the self cleansing systems of democratic engagement have broken down and political malaise has set in.

Sharma’s rise is evidence of the entropy democracy faces, not the toxic masculinity culture of the Patriarchy and bullying trigger thresholds.

  1. What we need now are staff that we’re bullied by Sharma to write into this blog to get a perspective.
Being performance managed is not being bullied, it’s being managed to be an effective employer. To label this as bullying is arrogance personified.
He is a better fit for National.

  2. Yes you can see certain factions trying to get maximum traction with Sharma and his Seinfeld concept of a ‘show about nothing’.

Barry Soper was ridiculous yesterday in questioning the former whip,McAnulty, who quite correctly pointed out that it’s not up to him to try and disprove a completely unsubstantiated accusation. What’s the bet Heather is Barry’s chief “whip”. How delightfully Tory.

    • Barry hates anything Labour , so you won’t get anything neutral from him and his toy girl wife, well the less said the better.

      • Barry loved Labour 5 years ago.
He lead the journalist’s love affair with Jacinda. The fact he may have seen through the empty promises, and outright lies like many of us, unsurprisingly seems to have alluded you.

    • Thought Barry Soper’s questions were reasonable and in context.
See little need for the disrespectful comments regarding his wife.Quite spiteful and nasty.

  3. Hamilton West was a safe National seat till the Covidslide. Tim McIndoe will be back as its MP in late 2023.

The real damage here is Labour can’t now claim they are the party of kindness, butterflies and rainbows. It also shitcans a). Big Sam allegations of leaving the parlimentary toilet seat up and b). any other dirty politics stories L9 drip feeds to the feckless. It also shines a light on Neale Jones/Clint Smith and their influence over the government.

Hopefully this is the end so we can get back to the diet of shit (labour) policies versus crap policies (National) and an out-scare-a-thon between the Greens/Maori vs Act. WinstonFirst says hi.

On Dr Shama – didn’t have the smoking gun so just like JLR without the sociopathic tendencies.

    • The good Doctor was always going to hit trouble because the party would know he was bluffing on a low pair… if only because while I have zero doubt the practices he claims are happening around the OIA etc absolutely are (I’ve worked in govt space
and I know), there is zero chance anything like that would have been committed to paper.

      • And the speaker wouldn’t allow Kiri Allen to raise how National redacted OIAs to the point OIAs were useless as she was not responsible for National party ministers. Such a shame the hypocritical National party were protected by David Carter at the time Simon.

        • But Bert. I don’t recall your old mate John Key standing on the election podium, staring down the barrel of the TV camera, promising to be “the most open and honest government ever”

          • He stood and said’ “We will close the wage gap with Australia( nup) and I will not raise GST”.

Where has Ardern been dishonest Mick? Actual evidence of dishonesty?

    • Please Frankie say it isn’t so….Macindoe is a parishioner at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Forest Lake. An ultra conservative, no wonder he lost his seat.

MacIndoe voted against the End of Life Choice Act 2019 at all three readings

MacIndoe voted against the Abortion Legislation Act 2020 at all three readings.

Macindoe opposed the Marriage (Definition of Marriage) Amendment Act 2013, which legalized same-sex marriage in New Zealand. In Parliament, Macindoe cited his committed Christian beliefs in supporting his position, arguing that same-sex relationships could “never be regarded as true marriage” because they were “intrinsically different”, and that “the nature of marriage should not be interfered with.

If he gets back in, as the saying goes…” you get what you fucking deserve”

        • It’s my opinion know Bob, are you holier than.thou saying I can’t have one?
Geez dumb Bob, you are a hypocrite.
And I know you go by Bob or John but when was your name ever Frankie? At least Frankie puts up a credible and intelligent comment, you could learn a thing or two.

    • Big Lukey has been upset that his drinking buddy McAnulty has been signaled out. Normally one of the more-balanced left leaning feckless this was overtly emotional. Not his best work at all.

The feckless were lining up a major offensive against Te Reo and looking to catapult Beltway for the leader of the Nats. Both the feckless and Beltway are VERY angry with the good doctor.

      • But he’s rightly saying Sharma hasn’t backed up any of his accusations Frankie and ” good doctor” is debatable. Provide the evidence and no problem.
I could accuse Bob of showing intellect but there’s fat chance of me providing any evidence of that judging by any of his posts on here.

      • Frankie, just back from watching parliament TV, ( you need to see the replay at 6pm).
It was the welcoming of the new speaker, all party leaders gracious in their comments until Sharma stood, he tried to relitigate his greviences against Labour and Mallard and make it it all about himself. Thankfully the new speaker politely told him.to sit down and shut the fuck up, as this was not about him. If Sharma had an ounce of credibility, he lost it right there.

        • Thought Sharma used the chance well.
See now parliament’s biggest bully hose the children Trevor has been exposed as one of the bullies.
With the coverage Sharma is getting he will be thrilled.

          • Dumb BOB/John/ Frankie, he was shut down by the new speaker( is he a bully too?)because he was out of order, just like your posts. The coverage Sharma is getting shows how arrogant he is, damaging his already terrible reputation( the 3 staff he bullied). Labour will jump in the polls as Sharma continues to embarrass himself, just like yourself.

            Check spelling and grammar please.

  4. This little fucker will bang on about his fave subject, Gaurav Sharma, even if we are under nuclear attack. I don’t think this self absorbed fool was aware the top of the South Island was underwater and U boats are the new Ford Ranger!

Labour didn’t invoke expulsion from parliament only because they knew they would gift the seat to National, you know, to an MP with more skeletons in his closet than the combined mortuaries of NZ. Some kind of Hannibal Lector who just thought he’d hide his liking for cannibalism and see if anything noticed. But I liked Jacinda keeping a straight face pretending it was to save taxpayers the expense. What. Ever.

Anyway, another 14 months of the Sharma Karma Drama. Yay… Not!

  5. This is where I would respectfully disagree… it’s made enough noise that those outside of the beltway have taken an interest and has taken some shine off the PM.
And by that I mean friends of mine, who has almost zero interest in politics have asked me what it’s all about and why Labour were bullying this guy with whips (assumed no capital letter due to their misunderstanding).

  6. Taste of the woke’s own medicine, they have enabled people in NZ to make mountains out of molehills, and created an identity based needs hierarchy.

It is a beautiful thing, that their own wokiness in employment, has come back to bite them.

I just hope Sharma sues them and keeps on publicising his plight for years, so that the woke employers and organisations, can see the errors of their ways!

It still seems odd to me that Labour couldn’t just do the normal thing and address Sharma’s bullying claims within a short time frame in writing. While I don’t seem him as a victim of bullying, I do seem similar frustrations with anybody trying to interact with management in NZ to get their voices heard. It’s all virtue signalling and lawyers and lengthy processes and no real listening, understanding and practicality.

Apparently the woke just cancelled democracy in planning in Wellington (Auckland local democracy went years ago) so that the corporates can get their housing estates in quicker and the rest of the taxpayers can work harder to subsidise the corporate development and immigration exploiters wages!

Don’t worry about sunlight, new houses need a $200 p/m power bill to keep them warm. We HATE free environmental warmth. Other taxpayers can subsidise this.

Off to fly 24 hours to an environmental, carbon, reduction wokeshop which just generated more carbon than 1 year of car use. Likewise the new developments on the rise, we need more landfills polluting our water ways to contain all the waste being generated within our building industry.

Off to check airline prices, so I can have a nice holiday, work less in NZ, and virtue signal about my oncoming mental illness and fatigue. If I go transgender, I think I might get a sickness benefit or I could become an influencer worrying about myself continually, self publish a book and spend my days cancelling others views and policy while networking with other likeminded people.

I hear that a comedian has unsafe views. Off to cancel them!

  7. Oh you’re all so sure of yourselves but no-one really knows what was going on for the last 18 months. It’s a long time to eat shit sandwiches if he is telling the truth.
Also if there is no smoking gun what was his motive in putting himself up for ridicule? And the point of the article…poor f’n Labour?
He said he wanted an inquiry and wouldn’t it have been interesting to have one instead of trial by media? It’s already well known and documented that there is a bullying issue at Parliament. But just let your left politics bias get out in front. Go Labour you prize pricks!

    • And given the original offense when he was being performance managed for the past 18 months because he himself was a bully? Don’t let your right politics bias get out in front. Go Nact you prize pricks!

      • Being performance managed sounds like a a prison programme.
Good heavens performance managed how juvenile.

    • what was his motive in putting himself up for ridicule?

Because Karen Sharma has a persecution complex, and despite spending his time building a dossier of “evidence” against McAnulty and going to the highest level in government, the June cabinet reshuffle promoted the newer faces in Labour. McAnulty was included.

With his own prospects in the party dashed, no political achievements he can campaign on and his rival on the up, Sharma went public looking for a win. Unfortunately for Sharma, he displayed the same lack of credibility in the media as his Labour colleagues had already discovered beforehand.

    • Agree Magit the Labour Party new there was bullying of Sharma so they circled the wagons and with numbers in the sixties to one or maybe two they ambushed and bullied him.
      That’s kindness with a bow.

  8. Ardern has put a figurative bomb under Sharma’s car and ideologically removed him from the Party. Move on, nothing more to see here she said yesterday. This must be a turning point in the Party’s kindness mantra and in politics in general, where people will now question if they should ever bring bullying claims against another, or be a whistleblower of bureaucratic malfeasance. Ardern once donned a headscarf and shed a tear for victims of right wing violence. She has since moved on and is now a leading light in woke fascist cancel culture, bullying the world with sanctions and cock rockets, and controlling the narrative at all cost.

    • Yes Ethan her true colours are shining through doubt there was any kindness there to begin with.Propaganda most certainly.
Threaten me and I’ll set my heavies on you. The Labour Bully Machine.

        • Terribly sorry off white for the omission. “Segregation Cindy was evil well before…” blah blah is twaddle. Many off white hugs and kisses to you, as many as you need on your hierarchy of needs. And grow up.

          • Sinic, no worries, no need to apologise. Most people these days are pro segregation because the government and the media told them to be.

  9. Seriously? Pffffft!
(and yes, I know most on this thread are being serious) “End of Story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Earth to Cloud 9, mayday mayday
