Oh he’s fucked now, The media have done the Santamaria on him and dredged up any woman with an axe to grind so it can now be framed as the greatest crime against humanity…

National MP Sam Uffindell stood down from caucus while more allegations investigated

Under-fire National MP Sam Uffindell has been stood down from the party’s caucus, pending an investigation into further “very concerning accusations” surrounding his past behaviour.

In a statement late on Tuesday night, National Party leader Christopher Luxon said he had been made aware of new allegations about Uffindell’s behaviour toward a female flatmate while Uffindell was at university in 2003.

…he banged on a door 19 years ago!

BURN HIM!

The Left have gone into a virtue signalling frenzy screaming their moral superiority, this micro aggression overkill and constant vengeance fantasies for those they hate is as intense as Qanon Incels getting stood up on a date.

I can’t tell the difference between a sensible sentencing trust lynch mob or a woke lynch mob these days when it comes to revenge.

My feel is that the Left’s unforgiving overkill of this will actually turn away voters rather than recruit.

Meanwhile, issues of far greater importance are ignored while the Left get to scream their superiority.

We get it, you are all far far far far far better, and much more moral people than Sam Uffindell, what an achievement!

If only we on the Left were as good as strangling off child poverty, the cost of living crisis and housing unaffordability the way we can National MP careers for things they did 2 decades ago.

If only.

Hilariously Labour killed off the stupid 3 strikes law last night, but apparently that forgiveness doesn’t extend for 16 year old boys…

Three strikes law gone: Labour fulfils 2017 campaign promise, Nats and Act rail against move

The Government has repealed the contentious three-strikes law, and in doing so achieved for Labour a campaign promise stemming back to 2017.

…it’s more important for the activist Left to be able to scream ‘heteronormative white cis male toxic masculinity privilege’ than it is to be meaningful on climate change, inequality and poverty.

Increasingly having independent opinion in a mainstream media environment which mostly echo one another has become more important than ever, so if you value having an independent voice – please donate here.

  1. “He said he gave Uffindell and of the other flatmates “a serious piece of [his] mind” at the time.”

Some people are a good fit for Otago Uni. Others aren’t

    • Can we nominate Judith Collins, Nikki Kaye, Paula Bennett and Michelle Boag to be on the committee hearing the Uffindell Affair?
We need women’s perspectives on what is going wrong at the top levels of the National Party when. Matthew Hooton pointed out on One Network News 10/8/2022, that “all 4 candidates for the Tauranga byelection were white men in blue suits.”
Where are the strong women of National?
      Women for National 2023

  2. Well said Bomber. Your economic compass may be disorienting – but your moral compass is consistent in finding North.

  3. It’s not “the left” who are publicising his behaviour. His chickens are simply coming home to roost. That this didn’t come out during the selection process says a lot about the nats as well.

    • It’s “not the left”
      Hahahaahha
Who is it then? Disappointed Nat candidates who didn’t get the job?
Of course it’s the left, or anti National. This is the lefts voting base at work, the 101 of dirty politics.
Just like John Key’s ponytail pulling. The rabid-feral left element are like piranhas, when they smell blood in the water.

    • “Let those without sin cast the first stone & If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us” should be applicable here. If we insist on a selection process that removes anyone with any past indiscretions then no one would be eligible for parliament. I have no knowledge regarding his current character but as long as at selection time he exceeds the current general morality (which is not that high) & is capable of doing a good job for the voters then I see no problem with his selection.

    • It’s absolutely the left. The flatmate contacted Red Radio after all… If it wasn’t the left then they’d have contacted Newstalk

    • Yes Rosielee, his chickens are coming home to roost, but trial by media is dreadful. It may not be a left hit job, could be a hit job to demonise the left, and we’re all losers here when chances are it’s some crummy polytech journo grad trying to boost their ratings and job prospects. Soaring prices of food and warmth aren’t as sensational or as easy to sex up as bad boy antics are, unfortunately – not that I want to minimise damage inflicted upon anybody.

      • Applewood “trial by media” you say, what happened when Judith Collins outed Ian Lees Galloway on live TV. Oh! but that’s ok because it was a lefty. The National party have brought this on themselves by “this nothing to see here folks” . Time will tell if Luxon did know something and wasn’t as “blind sided” as he conveniently has made out.

  4. The problem with this kind of perfection demanded of anyone is it sets an extremely high bar.

Presumably all parties will fire any MP’s, now found to have committed any indiscretion, right back to their school years?
I mean there’s few things in life worse than hypercritical leaders. (Aye Boris)

A good place to start would be Willie. (After Mallard has been purged)
I’ve listened to Willie Jackson’s aggression over the years. Countless hours on talk back with his threats and boasts. If he hasn’t beaten up someone I’d be astounded. But perhaps he hasn’t, maybe he’s just one of those loud mouth bullshitters with an inferiority complex?

I’m also struggling with the paradox where 3 Strikes is canned, these recidivist offenders are allowed another go. Yet an MP who got expelled at school is not?

    • Haha so the attack on Willie and Mallard must be by the right wing using your analogy Mick.

Let’s add a few more names shall we…
      Aaron Gilmore
      Jamie Lee Ross
      Simon Bridges ( tapes)
      Andrew Falloon
      Maggie Barry
      Sarah Dowie
      Hamish Walker
      Michelle Boag…etc etc etc

all as the result of an attack by ” the left”

Ya gunna need to find a better argument Mick. You could try using Bob’s “opinion” excuse for your non evidence based comment.

      • Mike Sabin (remember him?)

and the whole “Dirty Politics” associated cast: Jason Ede, Simon Lusk, Carrick Graham, Cameron Slater etc etc etc

        Where IS Jason now?

        • No, he shouldn’t resign Bob.
Everyone has made some mistakes in their lives.
Get off Uffindell’s back, he is innocent until proven guilty.
Sam has the right to privacy.
This will pass, take a deep breath.

      • He jumped before he was pushed wheel. Trying to “spin” it are you wheel?
Asked to leave is code for, “if you don’t leave you’ll be expelled.”
But, this is not why there is a 2 week investigation. The boarding school bullying incident was being handled and he probably could have survived the scrutiny. The incident with the female flatmate seems to have sealed his fate. It has become untenable for Sam and Chris Luxon.

A byelection is on the cards and National should be putting up a female candidate, or even better, a female Maori candidate. Time will tell

        • Diana’s incorrect, there will not be a byelection.
Sam will be drummed out of the National Party by Luxon, using the precedent John Key set with Aaron Gilmore.
Sam will stay on as an independent, as signaled by Party strategist, Mathew Hooton on Breakfast News this morning.
Luxon and National will remain morally tough and will win at the next election because of Chris Luxon’s steely handling of a potentially damaging few weeks for National. ACT will also be the winners in all of this though.
National will continue to go up in the polls because of this incident, as it was doing before this incident.
Take a deep breath here everyone, nothing to see here, move on!

  5. One mistake we will overlook, two we get suspicious, three you are fired….. Looking for mistake number three now.

  6. Although seeing Luxon sweat is priceless, dragging up the antics of teenage boys 20 years later because you expect mp’s to be saints from birth is ludicrous.
There is no doubt this is politically motivated now.
Far far worse goes on at boarding schools than what is known as storm the dorm.
Think rape, sodomy, intimidation and ritual humiliation.

    • I think I went to the wrong boarding school, Jack!
“Far far worse goes on at boarding schools than what is known as storm the dorm.
Think rape, sodomy, intimidation and ritual humiliation.

None of these sorts of things happened while I was at my boarding school.

You need to give a lot more detail, so good boarding schools are not tainted by the bad ones. Bad ones need to be held to account, similar to how Dilworth was with their teaching staff and what they did to their students.

There will be a few boarding school bullies packing it at the moment Jack, if you are going to name boarding establishments, or just the towns or cities where these allegations of “rape, sodomy, intimidation and ritual humiliation” took place?

You can’t just drop a statement like “Far far worse goes on at boarding schools than what is known as storm the dorm. Think rape, sodomy, intimidation and ritual humiliation.”, without some evidence??

      • I’m not a snitch but but every private school pupil is inducted into the unwritten rules of the school on day one. In intermediate you were a big fish, in high school you are a little fish again.

      • We are born to rule, we make the law.
It does not matter what you think “Kiwijoker”
You belong to the bottom feeders by the look of your name “Kiwijoker”.
We say what is acceptable and what is not.
Your opinion does not matter to us.
We are born to rule, we are beyond the touch of the law.
We decide what is acceptable and our values outweigh yours.

  7. A violent bully. Expelled from Kings. A violent misogynist at uni who, most serious crime yet, couldn’t handle his booze without being a dick-head. A gift from heaven for Labour. Also a gift for Luxon if he gets the leadership right.

    • I honestly don’t care about that. Real men never apologies instead beginning with that wasn’t a good look but I know what I want to do (if I was Unfunny man) he should take this opportunity to convince The National Party of a number of things.

This benefit bashing has to stop. We want them to work, we want there taxes, we want them to pay for everything. For that to work all supervisors and managers are going to have to be upskilled to a sufficient level that they can take illiterates and teach them how to read and write and add and subtract ect, and make a lot of money.

  8. Sorry Martyn but why is this necessarily the left? The MSM go after any bit of “scandal” regardless of which side of the isle the person is from. It’s good for business.

That said “banging on the door”? Really? The account from the past sounds like having ‘The Who’ as your roommate.

  9. Martyn misses the big picture of this in that this is so typical of these entitled Nats, this guy is so arrogant that he put his name forward believing he had nothing in his past that could bite him on the arse. Do people think that Judith Collins was a choir girl who suddenly become the bully bitch in later life? Will are lives be any less enriched if this arse is removed? Maybe the Nats might one day look out into the real world and look beyond the private school cesspit? Oh,that’s right you have to come from that world to vote for them and put your benefit bashing/bullying to the fore.Good riddance, don’t think we need to worry about his mental health because these guys are totally insensitive

      • My Private School, like all private schools are Rugby Union schools. Thanks to scholarships are 30% leftwing on a bad day. The All Blacks are in a bit of a pickle right now so is this part of the pipeline leaking?

    • Yes arrogant, but more importantly “calculating ” – remember that he RECENTLY apologised to the school bully victim!

  10. LOL and another rainbow sprouts from Seymour’s ass. Te Reo and Beltway doing the ol’ corporate whitewash “review”. Act will be back to Judith levels of support in no time.

Bomber must be over the moon at the scenario of National on 27% and Act on 18% and Winston on 5%.

  11. National need to be more aspirational with their candidate selection. Too many bottom feeders.

Wait did I miss a couple?
There are some good kick arse conservatives out there. Please come back Nicky Kaye we loved you.

    • Good to see National’s new branding deep-blue colour, unveiled at the National Party conference.

I checked the Hexcodes and the paint charts are calling it “Clusterfuck Blue”.

Peter Goodfellow and his hand-picked successor on the National Party Board, must have had a premonition it was going to be a new-blue, ‘mare of a week’.
Bring back Sir John Key to steady the shup!

    • Oh yeah Simon and Jamie talking about whether to select a Chinese or and Indian candidate and who they would get more money from.
Look-all parties, please select candidates who want to make positive change in peoples lives, who have a record of integrity and those who can research and understand the issues. What Crumpy called good bastards and clever bastards.

    • What’s more frenzied than a shark attack on a wounded whale?
Read some of the “ Kind “ comments on here.

      • @Bob the First:
Do you say that these misogynist kind(s) of comment don’t from the right? Like Young Nat Eggstein, who was probably a bully at boarding school:

“His fake social media accounts – Hamish Eggstein and Emiliano Donnrumma – were created in December 2020.
The targets included Christchurch city councillor Sara Templeton, Labour Minister Megan Woods and Ilam MP Sarah Pallett.
Via the profiles, MacKenzie asked Woods how much in royalties she was receiving for letting a pork crackling company use her likeness. The packet cover had a picture of a pig.
He asked Templeton if the menstrual products she used were eco-friendly and would save the Earth.

        https://thespinoff.co.nz/media/10-08-2019/farewell-to-whaleoil-hate-machine-of-the-blogosphere.

So, Bob the First, and you won’t be the last, to have a one-eyed, myopic view of “unkind comments” by the right.

        • Diana, from Bob today…

“The left throughout history are by far and away the biggest bullies the facts speak for themselves.
( please don’t bombard me with childish questions asking for proof just google it)
Trevor Mallard the punch up man defame people pour water on children biggest bully in parliament history.”

As you quite rightly point out…
          “a one-eyed, myopic view”

I call it what it is, trolling bullshit.

  12. Don’t you know who we are?
We on the right are born to rule, will not allow a fetus to be terminated, unless we need to win an election, then its a matter of delayed conscience vote.
We on the right are born to rule, will not allow bottom-feeders to benefit, but we will benefit the private sector, whom we anoint to profit when we sell off state-owned assets.
We on the right are born to rule, will not allow anyone to taint our brand.

These are simple tenets for the right life, the born to rule life.

When’s the next by-election in Tauranga?

  13. These gen y and z wokes don,t understand that in 70’s, 80s and 90s this was the culture of the times. Boarding schools were still struck in the era of Tom Browns school days.
There would not be a male member of the national party born before 1980 who has not participated in similar violence, if not worse acts like nuggeting and tooth-pasting younger kids balls. These places where overflowing with racism, sexism, homophobia and violence. Maori would have been referred to as niggers. Women as pussy. Gays as bum bandits.
Run by rednecks for rednecks. Hardening up the next gen of rednecks ready for the farm or the national party.
Fancy a bit of good old fashioned torture old chap?
The only difference in this twats case is his victim narked, something very rare in those days.
Anyone claiming not to have skeletons in their closet is lying. No one is innocent.

  14. Our esteemed Editor seems to have chosen a loser contrarian platform with tory tool Mr Uffindel.

Any regular reader of TDB will know my position on the neo Blairite Labour Caucus, and majority MMP Govt.’s lack of action on a state house mega build and its refusal to retire Rogernomics or sack all the fifth columnists at the top of the public sector.

I advocate occupying empty residential and commercial property, the rebirth of a class left fighting central labour organisation to replace the weak as piss NZCTU. Am anti capitalist and anti imperialist–definitely not a “wokester”–but nonetheless the natzos should never be supported, ever. They will unite with ACT and shit on the working class from an even greater height than Labour will do.

NZ National supports international capital and finance capital first and foremost, but their dirty little secret as Sirkey knew so well, was to attract thousands of voters–self employed, SMEs, petit bourgeois, farmers, rural contractors, who support the “big boys” like the Australian Banks that only cause them pain in real life on an ASPIRATIONAL basis.

Mr Uffindel comes from a long line of dodgy tory candidates–macho bravado, bullying, alpha traits, and particularly being an ex plod, are actually sought after qualities in natzo candidates not that they advertise that too publicly. Bent ex copper Mike Sabin beat local farmer Mark Tan for the Northland seat nomination. Mr Tan later washed up as Principal at Kaitaia Christian school Abundant Life. He took sabbatical leave during COVID as he was anti Vaccination and anti mandate. He appeared in the final stages of the Wellington “Convoy” occupation throwing bricks at the Police–as per photo in The Northland Age. Following Northland MP Matt King was a climate change denier using natzo party channels to push his craziness.

Sam Uffindel needs to go, and now.

    • Darren Hughes says hi.

And the current regime is far more globalist in its actions than any before it. Remember our Glorious Leader went to the Blackrock offices to get instructions from Larry.

But don’t worry Tiger the left’s hit job is only delivering votes to Act and NZ First. You get what you paid for.

      Lol fucking lol.

      • I’ll take your Darren and raise you 5 Nats Frankie. Your looking a bit fragile Frankie given none of your previous leaders nor this one are anything but “glorious “!

Hit job Frankie, time to take your tin foil hat off.

        • Remember Bertie – no longer National. When Te Reo got put in place I exited. Check the timelines on this site. 15yrs previous experience in financial corporates meant I knew what was coming.

Act ain’t perfect but it’s where my vote will land UNLESS WinstonFirst is in the 4’s. The best scenario for those on the right is:

          National 25-29%
          Act 15-19%
          WinstonFirst 5-7%

Thus Co-goverance is torpedoed, Seymour is Finance Minister and Peters Foreign Minister (in time for Trump in 2024). National > 38% and higher means shit doesn’t get done and the WokeCentreLeft remains in power.

Those in the feckless and the Labour Mandarins don’t get it that shitting on Te Reo means more chance someone will actually undo the social democratic shitfest we are currently experiencing.

          • I like your honesty Frankie, however with Act you get Te Reo, Te Puke, Te Hawaii and then then were fucked! You think things are bad now, just wait until Act arm the citizens.

            • Good. My most redneck urges are always law and order. Big fan of non washable dye being used by shops. Pretty easy to catch people if they are the same colour as Violet Beauregarde.

      • What about them yoof parties and the minister of phone catching? And the dodgy fuckers in court and what about … they’re as bad as each other.

They’re making Winston look like a Saint!
He’s got out of the media headlines pretty quickly already with regards to the dodgy donations that they’re all involved in.

People don’t trust any of them anymore.

        Bring back McGilly Cuddy!!

  15. If we’d had a phone call from one of our daughters studying in Dunedin fearing for her life, what would we have done?

I get all the attendant political stuff but this story really is small beer.

Let’s not get away from the essence which is that an arsehole
guy did some arsehole things and moved on past them.

Sweet, he carries on with life. Now, years later, the bitterness residing in those who he was an arsehole to cones to the surface. Some arseholes get their comeuppance immediately, some never do. For this one it’s years.

The fact that this guy is a politician is sort of incidental to all that.

The irony is that legions of National Party supporters over years have demanded that some 16 year old brown skinned kid from Hutt Valley be never allowed to again do things like play rugby league, something the kid is good at, because of some terrible behaviour or incident.

White man who went to flash schools? But he’s a politician? Nah, that’s different.

  16. Just as well I don’t blindly follow like many others the politics of my heritage and place in society.
This saga and the supporters of Uffindell are just fucking numbnuts. If anyone thinks he is still not a bully is probably one themselves. Anyone that thinks McClay is Fit to be a MP is dumb, anyone who thinks Luxon didn’t know about this earlier is dumb, anyone who thinks Willis didn’t know about this is dumb. But if they didn’t know it shows Willis and Luxon are super fucking numbnuts because they never took the time to find out anything about one of their potential staff members. I can’t imagine the CEO of a decent sized company not reading the report of a selection committee and asking questions. But its obvious that Willis and Luxon have been feather bedded into the roles and were never up to getting the real training required.
McClay should have known better but is so fucking arrogant that he thought he knew better. If I was Luxon he would go.

  17. Wasn’t Sam U a bankster before politics?
Who Luxon praised as ‘having another money-man to look forward to having in Parliament’!

  18. It’s seems as though Stuff has a more effective crew than NZs 27 $270m Security Agencies!

They can pump out stories about cis’s faster than a male can commit any kind of offense that is offensive in the last 50 years or so.

I wonder if their algorithm works on women/woman’s?

    • Is there a “Statutory Limit” to these “Woke-Hunts” the call news?
If there isn’t then I’d like to go back 200 years to lay a formal complaint about the offense that the late Queen Victoria allowed to happen by supplying Nga Puhi with Guns!!!

The penalty should be that she is dug up. Hanged, Drawn and Quartered! Metaphorically speaking of course.
This shall be done by the influencer news blogsite masquerading as news, Stuff.

The there is Judge Fenton. And then there is….

  19. Mrs Collins trashed Ian Lees Galloway’s career in one brutal TV interview when she outed his personal love life.

Why should this would be toff crawler remain? He has been into serious assault, verbal abuse and intimidation according to the media accounts from the recipients of his assaults and student tantrums. He has only apologised years later, shortly before commencing a political career, which looks more like opportunism than atonement.

Perhaps the natzos will keep him around in a low key manner to avoid another by-election?

    • Tiger M. Collins did worse than wreck the guy’s political career, she publicly ousted his adultery in the media with his unsuspecting wife and school age children not knowing what was coming. Evil. Paula B was just as bad spouting about another fornicating idiot’s behaviour not being behaviour becoming a married man- something like that. Both ghastly women.

This guy probably hasn’t a clue what he said if he was drunk when he said it, but Collins and Bennett seemed pretty sober when trying to present themselves as paragons of womanly virtue, but who knows.

  20. I wonder if this story is not just about the past. Bullying and pack mentality is still very much around and it may be important for all of us nowadays to not collude with it.
The message to bullies today is contained in how we respond to it, whether it’s an historical or current tragedy.
Also, there’s a reason why we get vetted before given a job in Education, Health, Politics (I hope?)

  21. Uffindell ‘White privilege’s’ got him a free pass for assaulting his peers at college. This white (Pakeha) superiority is one of the reasons for the high incarceration of Maori and other negative statistics. Tauranga has a racist element that fits with Uffindell rhetoric (tough on crime) with city councilors attacking Maori interest publicly in Tauranga and NZ broadly. And conflating the Santamaria fiasco with Uffindell is disingenuous, IMO Santamaria vocal eviscerations of ‘Apartheid Israel’ on NZ public TV is what got him ejected from TVNZ not BS allegations of being a sexual predator. Who remembers Julian Assange sexual allegations? It literally ova night turn a prestige’s award winning Journalist into a sexual predator!

    Free Assange.

  22. Oh well, Labour internal polls must be worse then the public polls. lol ….popcorn, and prepare for this shitshow to last until the election night, and cue to woe betides us cause half the country looks at the ‘political’ class in NZ and simply opts out of the freak show that is N / L / G / TPM and the rest of them. Mind, if that is the desired effect, well done!

    • I can see it now, canny political operators planning to the nth degree around when polls come out. In 2003 someone goes crazy in a Dunedin flat terrorising a flatmate. Years down the track, having decided to stand for Parliament and being elected, the incident is revealed.

But its not fair, because the information’s only come out because polling is poor for Labour? The woman victim? She should just STF up because National/Act is on a roll, Labour is in the crapper and NACT will cruise in? And Sam Uffindell will get to live the sentiments of his maiden speech by being a great MP. His maiden speech?

” …unfortunately, like the rest of New Zealand, a growing culture of lawlessness, lack of accountability, a sense of impunity, and significant underlying generational social problems. We need friends, family, and, in particular, parents, to step up and show what is right. Ultimately, though, the State must hold people accountable…”

Oh, I get it, he missed out a bit, “…must hold people accountable, but not at a time when favourable polls come out.”

  23. Christ on a bike. The support given this violent monkey is beyond astonishing. TBH I’m not surprised to hear of this further episode – nor will I be surprised to hear of more.

    • One of ours was in a Dunedin flatting situation with an idiot. The young women got rid of him.
What is showing in the short time since hearing the woman and her father, is the lack of empathy for her in that situation, the lack of feeling for what it was like for her being in it.

How many can appreciate having to climb out the window of their own home at night, terrified?
Having to doss down in someone else’s place. It’s only a few words, it’s easy to say, to gloss over and the incident. In the whole world of what’s going on it was nothing. But for a human being living it at the immediate time?

  24. Stop crying like a baby are you saying the right haven’t done is before National are not exactly squeaky clean.

  25. It’s interesting that none of this came out during the by election. One wonders whether labour put it in a John Key style dirt file to be used as a convenient distraction later on.

  26. Have mercy on the unfortunate missus. Anger doesn’t only display in public, it occurs in the home too. What must she be putting up with.

      • Your comment is an even more low blow. Whispering Kate, on accumulated evidence, is no doubt right on the money. Problem for her is that she isn’t the partner of a working class thug, so will suffer in silence.

    • Whispering Kate and co. It might be a good idea to leave Mr Uffindell’s nearest and dearest out of all this. It is unknown territory, and it puts more pressure on people at a time when they do not need it.

  27. Well if this is truly correct then National polls are looking shite since they are flooding the media with who will replace Ardern shit. Desperate one thinks. Typical dirty politics.

    • Yes Bob, there will not be a byelection and we can all move on.

  28. Yes Bert the herald are bias wankers but I see Labour reminded them saying, ‘but we have the preferred PM’ at least according to the polls.

  29. this leader said in the early days of his appointment to leadership he would stop pensions to those unvaccinated.
the comments from about this are elusive, has anyone also heard this comment from Chris luxon?

  30. I’m not going to bother commenting on what amounts to largely a pile of self absorbed tripe in the comments section..
What I will say, is that I’m getting seriously tired of the “woke” fuckwits I’ve had the “pleasure” of dealing with since getting trapped here, have absolutely no relation to leftwing politics… Self seving tripe is just that, and bears no resemblance to the collectivism that is a basic principle of left wing policies… Being left wing was always about class solidarity, and inclusiveness… Please Bomber, can you call these morons what they actually are… Stooges of the ruling elite, who wouldn’t have a clue as to how the real world actually operates, and who it is that controls our thoughts and actions, without our having a clue as to how much we are being led around by the nose.. All that was required was to plant in our minds that our insecurities are more important than our survival as a species.. Real smart boys and girls… The bloke at the center of this idiocy is an arsehole, pure and simple.. But so are the rest of the tory party mp’s.. They wouldn’t be Tory mp’s if they weren’t.. How fucking hard is that to grasp? That goes double for the ACT mp’s, and their followers.. Not a single one of them give a shit about anything except their own welfare.. Never did, and never will. But hey, you support them all you like.. Myself, and all the rest of the smart Kiwis, who happen to possess a social conscience will be making our way in countries that actually value our skills and experience… Let’s hope the Chinese aren’t too hard on those left here to welcome them…

  31. The truth blazes so fiercely that the light is too bright for ordinary eyes, and that’s why muddle-class Labour can’t see the truth of what Martyn has written.

If only we on the Left were as good as strangling off child poverty, the cost of living crisis and housing unaffordability the way we can National MP careers for things they did 2 decades ago.
    If only.

Perhaps we need to advertise our country’s needs and connect them with a ‘beverage’ similar to Dorothy Lee Sayers successful advert. The Brits obviously needed Guinness!

How grand to be a Toucan, Just think what Toucan do.

    What’s this about guerilla advertising.
We need thoughts that are new.

  32. Thankfully I hoipolloi’d out to the Coromandel electorate years ago and a proud Green voter of Fitzsimons era. Chloe and an LGBTQ+ unicorn might do it for me again next year but I can see the green vote rapidly becoming conservative and more direct in the future. GINO. Values parties aligning with Free Rights might become a thing. Throw in some religion “votes”. Liven up the westminster with minor parties holding half the house. But which half?
