Conflict with China is coming – why NZ shouldn’t declare Genocide

Jacinda Ardern, Judith Collins coy on question of genocide against Uighurs in China’s Xinjiang ahead of caucus discussions

Politicians are on Tuesday grappling with the question of whether China is committing genocide against the Uighur people in the Xinjiang province.

The ACT Party last week announced it was filing a motion for Parliament to debate the issue, describing it as “an act of solidarity” with the Canadian and British Parliaments, which earlier this year called China’s oppression of about 1 million Uighurs crimes against humanity.

MPs are considering their positions within their respective political parties on whether to back the motion. The leaders of both Labour and National were coy ahead of their meetings.

Conflict with China is coming but I don’t think NZ should declare a Genocide inside China against the Uighur people.

The naked reality is that the appalling rapes, sterilisations, forced labour, beatings, abuse and killings that China is mercilessly dishing out to the Uighur’s simply doesn’t reach the technical threshold of Genocide.

The murderous intent alongside the naked hatred alongside the industrial slaughter is missing here, that’s not to downplay the human rights atrocities China is committing, but Genocide is very specific and what China is doing  doesn’t reach the threshold of that most despicable of crimes.

What I do think we can argue is that China is committing a Cultural Genocide here. The purposeful mass migration tactics alongside the sterilisation campaigns, alongside punishment for expression of the culture all lend credibility to the claim of Cultural Genocide.

It may sound like a technicality, but the distinction is important. The Holocaust is such a unique horror in human civilisation that the comparison to it requires very testable thresholds, China is doing some appalling abuses against the Uighur’s but it’s not on the scale of evil that the final solution was.

By declaring a Cultural Genocide we clearly state our values and our independence, which is going to be essential when conflict comes because while we are appalled at the allegations against the Chinese, there is no way at all that we are going to allow Australian/US paranoia drag us into some bullshit military confrontation against China.

China and Russia are both authoritarian regimes who are struggling economically post Covid. Both have a need to reassert dominance upon their own populations via a symbolic and nationalistic conflict. Russia has massed troops near the Ukraine while China repeatedly tests Taiwan air space. For Russia, the Ukraine is their sphere of influence and for China, Taiwan is theirs. Invading either of them would generate the very nationalistic fervour each require to reassert their dominance over their domestic populace.

Are we seriously going to war against China if they invade Taiwan?

Really?

Australia and America will want a military response – but are we really going to get into this quagmire?

Do we even have the option of neutrality? What most Kiwis have no comprehension of is how RocketLabs’ secret 5 eyes space treaty makes us a secondary launch pad for the US Military. The reason NZ is buying sub hunting planes is as a counter to China sitting submarines off the east Coast to strike the launch site.

Rocketlabs makes us a legitimate military target, no one has explained that to NZers yet.

In whatever conflict is coming, Wellington decides New Zealand’s Tino rangatiratanga, NOT Washington and NOT Beijing.

  1. It’s genocide and pretending it is not is alarming.

Countries are sick of PRC invading their spaces ka Uyghur, Tibet, Hong Kong, Chinese human rights campaigners, Chinese doctors, Chinese actors… spilling out onto international waters and foreign soil….

    Patience is being lost.

“Locsin tweeted: “China, my friend, how politely can I put it? Let me see… o…get the f*** out.

“What are you doing to our friendship?” Locsin continued. “You’re like an ugly oaf forcing your attentions on a handsome guy who wants to be a friend.”

Shocked reaction to the missive included criticism of Locsin’s language, with one post on Twitter saying: “Your job is to defend your nation’s interests by using diplomacy, not the language of a school boy.”

Apparently poking out eyes is diplomacy, though.

Chinese foreign ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian hit back against the Five Eyes statement

“No matter how many eyes they have, five or 10 or whatever, should anyone dare to undermine China’s sovereignty, security and development interests, be careful not to get poked in the eye,” he said.

If the Nazi’s came knocking to modern day NZ and promised they would buy some milk and farms then our government would welcome them with open arms. Let’s be clear, neoliberalism and morals/social good have no place together. That’s why natural disasters are good for the economy!

  2. Australia, America and the UK all have human rights issues in there own countries. The Chinese treatment of the Uyghurs does need to be addressed by our government but we need to ensure we have the evidence before we do or say anything drastic. We need to ensure we are not being bullied by the big boys. We are an independent nation and we are very small. At the moment the Aussies are shooting from the mouth, yet they have been sending 501s back to our country who got their trade in Australia, many have no support here or whanau not exactly the Anzac spirit. And didn’t they (Aus) refer to the 501s as putting out the trash. And are Aboriginals still dying while in Police custody? And what about the Aboriginals land how much has been returned? American has been shooting the black people and treating them like second class citizens for how long? As for the UK their class system is outdated and needs to be booted to the curb. Minorities aren’t treated very well there either. And lastly our big mouth opposition politicians who are acting like they care when their own policies kick the poor in the guts in our own country.

    • Well put.
China is bad, but then again so are our ‘allies’, so let’s get some prospective.
Criticise them ALL, or keep turning the SAME blind eye we have re: UK, USA and Australia, to ‘everyone’ else, China, Russia etc.
i.e. the same rules, criteria, measurements for ALL countries, not just the ones our ‘Master’s’ tell us we should critise.

  3. “Russia has massed troops near the Ukraine” – after the Ukraine president said he was going to take by Crimea

    • Agreed, I think Russia’s moves are way more understandable than the USA (and to a much lesser extent the UK) having so many foreign bases NO WHERE near the USA and all around the countries that the USA claims are being hostile. Remember the Cuban missile crises !
Laughable if it wasn’t so dangerous.

    • Russian troops were reported to be close to the Ukraine border but no reports in our NZ MSM about the ammasing of US troops pulled from across Europe into Ukraine and along other Russian borders of Crimea and more North closer to the arctic. NATO forces were among them with missile bases close to the Russian border.
Yet we only hear about Russian troop movements and they are within Russia.

  4. Max Blumenthal, one of the best and least corrupt independent journalists in the world, at one of the best independent news sites in the world, The Gray Zone, “documents the deceptions behind the US government’s accusation that China is committing “genocide” against Uyghur Muslims in its Xinjiang region, picking apart NED-funded studies that rely on botched statistics and exposing extremist Adrian Zenz and his error-filled research.”

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZkxaEC1xjY

    • This guys pretty good and cites Max Blumenthal in his comprehensive video

Daniel Dumbrill is good and exposes another Uyghur fraud ,,, and the associated propaganda arms ,,,, radio free asia , NED etc https://youtu.be/xFoyJEE_iwI?t=64

Personally until someone shows me the pictures or evidence of all the children and civilians that China is starving to death … like the tens of thousands of children starved to death ,,, in the Yemen Genocide ,,, which NZ is involved with and profited from.

Unless someone can prove China is starving civilians, like our 5 eye club is helping to kill a child every 10 minutes in Yemen ,,, and all the unilateral starvation sanctions on Syria, Iran, Venezuela, etc etc.

Unless China is proven to be doing this, Then we are ethically and evidentiary worse than China and in no position to lecture or criticize their human rights.

NZ should be consistent and independent ,,, based on truth and honesty .,,, isn’t that a radical idea ???

      https://caitlinjohnstone.com/2021/05/02/worlds-most-tyrannical-regime-cant-stop-babbling-about-human-rights/
“Like all US secretaries of state, Blinken’s public statements overwhelmingly focus on the claim that other nations abuse human rights, and that it is America’s duty to defend those rights. Which is very silly, considering the fact that the US government is the single worst human rights abuser on planet Earth.

And it’s not even close.” …..

“There is no other government on earth whose violence has killed millions of people and displaced tens of millions just since the turn of this century. There is no other government waging nonstop wars around the world and dropping scores of bombs per day on human beings in foreign nations in order to perpetuate its iron-fisted domination of our planet.”

      https://caitlinjohnstone.com/2019/06/23/starvation-sanctions-are-worse-than-overt-warfare/
“I am not saying that starvation sanctions are more destructive or deadly than overt military force in and of themselves; what I am saying is that the overall effect is worse, because there’s no public accountability for them and because they deliberately target civilians.”

“The fact that people generally oppose senseless military violence but are unable to see and comprehend a slow, boa constrictor-like act of slaughter via economic strangulation is why these siege warfare tactics have become the weapon of choice for the US-centralized empire. It is a more gradual way of murdering people than overt warfare”

      • Are you permanently disabled? The Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister of New Zealand raised the issue of the uyghurs with there Chinese counterparts. As of yet YouTube wasn’t mentioned could be wrong, happy to be corrected, 🙂

    • I agree with you EP. The team at The Grayzone are impressive investigative journalists.
Logic and common sense seems to be in short supply over Xinjiang.

      • Dont be a fucken idiot. There will be no China with Islamic characteristics. This is an internal Chinese matter.

        • The re-education camps were set up as a response frequent terrorist attacks such as the Baren Township riot, 1997 Ürümqi bus bombings, protests in Ghuljia, June 2009 Shaoguan Incident, the resulting July 2009 Ürümqi riots, 2011 Hotan attack, April 2014 Ürümqi attack, May 2014 Ürümqi attack, 2014 Kunming attack and the 2015 Aksu colliery attack.
The East Turkestan independence movement, a Wahhabi extremist organisation, funded and supported these attacks. This organisation has been declared a terrorist organisation by the UN but recently the US withdrew their name from their own list terrorist of organisations.
It seems Sam that you are hopelessly ill-informed of this topic and I suggest you watch this video by Canadian Daniel Dumbrill, who has been a resident in China for 15 years.
          https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p57qyMAySYc
So you don’t appear one yourself Sam, rather than calling others a fucken idiot you’d be wise to, at least, read wikipedia’s page on the Uyghur,

  5. A couple of things:

1). Taiwan versus China in open warfare isn’t going to happen. China isn’t going to start WW3 and fuck over their economy for a bloodied and costly Taiwan. Period. Ukraine on the other hand is in play if the invalid in the oval office is a shit poker player.
2). Announcing a cultural genocide will mean the same to China as genocide. Is for the definition – it’s a slippery slope. The description you provided was an early stage Nazi concentration camp such as Mauthausen. It was only in the later stages of WW2 that some camps such as Auschwitz were transformed into death camps.

Would (little) Aotearoa trade with Nazi Germany through 1943 – evidence would suggest so…….

  6. I have no idea where Xinjiang is or why the Chinese hate Uighur people so much ( China? WTF? ) but I do know that Gee Dubja bush and his God Bless ‘merica flattened Iraq and in so doing murdered tens of thousands of people while dick cheney helped Halliburton get to all that silly ol’ I-rack-ee oil. I do know that the mighty orange trumpster separated children from their families escaping the manipulative ‘merican corporate influences fucking Mexico.
I think the yanks are as evil, if not more so, than a country which prides itself on globally supplying junk to the masses in return for a spot of stay the fuck away.

    • You’ve no idea where Xinjiang is but accept the propaganda that the Chinese government hates the Uyghur people.
      Why?

  7. I don’t think what is happening is genocide. Martyn is right on this. What the CCP is doing is not in the same class as Rawanda, or the Holocaust. It is one thing for commentators to loosely use the concept, it is quite another for the government or parliament to do so.
By the way the new Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft are not purchased because of Rocket Lab. They replace the existing Orion fleet which is 55 years old, albeit updated in recent years.
The continued view that the Mahia launching site makes NZ a target really is a nonsense. The rockets are quite small, capable of launching small satellites of 300 kg or less. Operational military surveillance satellites are large, weighing many tonnes.

  8. Any Western nation bleating on about human rights should be treated with the disdain it deserves, it’s all political point scoring
Chinas treatment of the Uighur’s however is unacceptable.
400 US bases surround China. How many Chinese bases surround mainland US and who is being the more provocative?

  9. “China and Russia are both authoritarian regimes who are struggling economically post Covid.”
Have you read Putins recent speech? It reads like something a NZ labour government would be proud of.
    http://en.kremlin.ru/events/president/news/65418
No wonder he has the support of his people to an extent that any western politician can only dream about.
The events in Ukraine are characterised in the media as Russian aggression. I see them as a Russian response to Western aggression, the speed and size of which quickly bought the possibility of an extremely dangerous armed conflict to a halt. All without Russian troops leaving their own borders, unlike NATO forces who are a long way from home. Once again Putin saves the day.
Events that preceded the Russian action include:
Zelensky announcing Ukraine was going to take back Crimea
Ukraine moving heavy armaments to the front line in Eastern Ukraine
NATO holding exercises in the region
The US announcing it was sending two destroyers into the Black Sea
The US supplying more weapons to Ukraine.
Constant military surveillance flights along Russia’s borders
NATO military “Advisers”read special forces sent to Ukraine
An assassination attempt on President Lukashenko of Belarus and associated planned cyber attack on Belarus’s power grid. (This was thwarted by the Russian FSB and Lukashenko claims it was organised by US intelligence.)
    Russia aggressive? Yeah Right!

As to the Uyghurs. It’s very loyal of you to believe that the USA and other western governments give a shit about the welfare of these people. Just like they care about the people of Libya, Syria, Viet Nam, Korea, Yugoslavia, Ukraine, the dispossessed of Bikini atoll and Diego Garcia, the residents of Okinawa that have voted for US troops to leave and the countless victims of dictators in South America that the US has supported.
No the current friction is being generated because the global dominance of the US dollar is being threatened by the economic rise of the renaissance countries Russia and China.
These two Americans know what is going on and provide a very interesting listen.
    http://untoldpacific.com/the-1-focus-of-the-u-s-national-security-state-is-war-with-china/

    • Exactly and well put !
For those of you not as informed as this gentleman, do yourself a favour and re-read his post.
The (vast majority of the) NZ media (and probably most of the western world’s) is NOTHING but a propaganda outlet, aiming to create ‘manufactured consent’ (see Noam Chomsky).
Let’s NOT dumbly and blindly wall into world war three, so our oppressors can have more power.
The American were late for WW1 and 11. It looks like they’ve decide to be on time for WW3 by starting it !!!

      • Kevin war declaration by USA may have lagged in WWI & WWII but they were involved from the start.

The publicly owned taxpayer funded RNZ routinely preaches false news directly from Reuters, on a daily basis.
Not a mention of US funded and armed Uighur in their thousands fighting the Syrian elected govt as so called rebels while the USA steals Syrian oil and yet sanctions Syria people stopping health and humanitarian supplies.
RNZ has become a US embassy mouthpiece and is complicit to treason.

  10. NEWSFLASH – ESOTERIC PINEAPPLES IS TOTALLY WRONG
‘Max Blumenthal, one of the best and least corrupt independent journalists in the world, at one of the best independent news sites in the world, The Gray Zone, “documents the deceptions behind the US government’s accusation that China is committing “genocide” against Uyghur Muslims in its Xinjiang region, picking apart NED-funded studies that rely on botched statistics and exposing extremist Adrian Zenz and his error-filled research.”’
BULLSHIT! Mark ( I mean esoteric pineapples is a fucking liar). This is Max Blumenthal
“I don’t have reason to doubt that there’s something going in Xinjiang, that there could even be repression”, he told Afshin Rattansi on RT UK’s Going Underground in July 2020.
As with Martyn’s post the quibble is aout whether REPRESSION is GENOCIDE. It is rather like Holocaust deniers arguing about whether there were actually six million deaths or less, or the degree of cruelty involved.
All right let us not call it genocide, not even repression. How about Chinese Communist Party Shitfuckery?
    What about Han Chinese barstadry?
‘Max Blumenthal, one of the best and least corrupt independent journalists in the world,” WHO THE FUCK SAYS THIS? https://www.axios.com/authors/baebrahimian/
‘A website called The Grayzone has made a name for itself by denying China’s campaign of cultural and demographic genocide in Xinjiang.

Why it matters: Chinese government officials and state media outlets are citing The Grayzone and its contributors with growing frequency as Beijing attempts to cast doubt on accusations of atrocities in its far Northwest region.

Details: American Max Blumenthal founded The Grayzone in 2015 and serves as its editor, describing his website as an independent news outlet. Blumenthal also frequently appears as a commentator on Russian state-affiliated news outlets including RT and Sputnik.

Grayzone drew the attention of Chinese diplomats and state media in December 2019, when it published a lengthy article attempting to discredit Adrian Zenz, a researcher whose work has helped uncover the existence and scale of mass internment camps in Xinjiang.
What’s happening: Blumenthal has increasingly become a Chinese state media darling, giving interviews with Chinese state broadcaster CGTN and the Chinese tabloid Global Times.

He often claims that evidence of crimes against humanity in Xinjiang is exaggerated or manufactured as part of a U.S. government attempt to discredit China.
China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Hua Chunying tweeted a Grayzone article claiming to debunk what it calls “dubious” research into the mass internment camps that China has set up for Muslims in Xinjiang.
The Chinese embassy in Germany cited a Grayzone article in an April post on the embassy website claiming China’s early handling of the early coronavirus outbreak was beyond reproach.
Chinese diplomatic Twitter accounts and other state-affiliated accounts show a high degree of engagement with Grayzone articles and Blumenthal’s own tweets, according to data compiled by the German Marshall Fund of the United States (GMFUS)’s Hamilton 2.0 dashboard, which tracks Chinese and Russian state-affiliated social media accounts.
It’s not just the Chinese government that is amplifying Grayzone articles.

Gabby Stern, the World Health Organization communications director, retweeted a quote from a Grayzone article in July casting doubt on Taiwan’s early transparency regarding the coronavirus.
The website has also attracted criticism from some U.S. elected officials.

Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, said it was “deeply disturbing” to see a WHO-affiliated account tweeting out an article from The Grayzone.

He regularly broadcasts on Russia Today(RT) Wikipedia quote.
‘RT has been described as a major propaganda outlet for the Russian government and its foreign policy.[2] Academics, fact-checkers, and news reporters (including some current and former RT reporters) have identified RT as a purveyor of disinformation[42] and conspiracy theories.[48] UK media regulator Ofcom has repeatedly found RT to have breached its rules on impartiality, including multiple instances in which RT broadcast “materially misleading” content.
RT’s editor-in-chief Margarita Simonyan compared the channel to the Ministry of Defence and stated that it was “waging an information war, and with the entire Western world”.[16][56] In September 2017, RT America was ordered to register as a “foreign agent” with the United States Department of Justice under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.[57] RT has been banned in Ukraine since 2014,[58] and in Latvia[59] and Lithuania[60] since 2020.’

    • DZT.
Your explanation on how independent journalism that is well accepted by academics who have backed up the reports, is wrong on spurious grounds.

Fancy being seen on RT. Is that proof of anything as Max appears on videos across many countries or are we encouraged to follow Senator McCarthy.

This is NZ not the USA.

Of course the Greyzone is under attack by the same old crew who attacked John Pilger. Those who don’t want you to widen your horizons

  11. Typical Marxist Blog, debating the definition of genocide!

lol 🙂 I actually agree with your comments and arguments Martyn. I think Act is wrong on this issue! IMO it doesn’t meet the definition of genocide, from the facts available anyway.

Australia is lucky commodity prices are surging, that’s for sure. The West isn’t concerned about minority populations in China. The West is concerned with hurting China, lest Western empires be exposed as declining economies.

The Uighur people are being used as an excuse/pawns by the West. That’s the actual truth.

  12. Uighurs are being persecuted. The one thing we know. And we are pressuring China. And what the flying are they doing in the South China Sea? Main trading partner?! Needs to end. The industrial revolution is violence all the way however. The beauteous 270 years. So laughable, 270.

And if anyone knows about man-made famines and deprivation it is the Chinese Communist Party that starved its own people to death while selling grain to other countries.’
This reminds me of Mark. Always claim that if China does something bad it is justified because somebody else did something bad. PATHETIC BULLSHIT!
Two wrongs do not make one right. The Chinese call this defending the empty city. When your position is indefensible make a lot of noise and distraction.
Ten thousand years of life to the Dalai Lama and freedom for the oppressed peoples of China. I nominate reason, esoteric pineapples and mark for the Chinese Communist Party’s Olympic lying team( certainly medal winners).

  15. Organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners in China

“Reports of forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners and other political prisoners in China have raised increasing concern within the international community.[1][2][3] According to a report by former lawmaker David Kilgour, human rights campaigner David Matas and Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation researcher Ethan Gutmann, political prisoners, mainly Falun Gong practitioners, may be executed “on demand” in order to provide organs for transplant to recipients.[1][2]”

  16. ‘Forced organ harvesting’ of prisoners in Chinese detention camps continues, says tribunal
    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/world/forced-organ-harvesting-of-prisoners-in-chinese-detention-camps-continues-says-tribunal/BBIPH6GXTIWPMNMOHAR2WZ5LE4/

Chaired by Sir Geoffrey Nice QC, who led the international prosecution of Serbian war criminal Slobodan Milosevic, the tribunal alleged in a new report that hospitals could request organs to be extracted “on demand” from donors without their consent.

The report claimed China was guilty of crimes against humanity, although Beijing has repeatedly denied allegations of forced organ harvesting.

    • The organ harvesting is one of the half a dozen outrageous claims that are designed to have people hate China or accept smears against China.
Under Chinese law a person who commits a crime serious enough is executed. Then their organs can be used to help others. That is the basis of the organ “harvesting” claims.
Then became added the word force-ably. Why would you take an organ out of a person force-ably as it will kill them. Organ extraction and transplanting is a highly technical matter using sophisticated surgery and medical support.

NZ does organ “harvesting” in several settings.

  17. The biggest threat to US hegemony in the world is China. It is widely accepted that by 2030 (and that may even be conservative) China will be the number 1 economy in the world.
The launching of the “belt and road initiative” by China in 2013 is a cause of great anxiety for Washington.
Destabilisation will always be a tactic, no matter how untrue and destructive it may be, that is employed by the US and its allies.

  18. America were late to WW1 and 11. But they seem intent on being on time for WW3 by starting it !!!

  19. From the “evidences” that I have seen from both sides, there is nothing close to genocide in Xinjiang. The realities on the ground is that ordinary people in the region are living a normal life. Another sign of no genocide or severe repression of the general population is the absence of any mass exodus of refugees to countries bordering Xinjiang. In fact, there is even no movement restriction between Xinjiang and other parts of China. Once the pandemic is over and Kiwis can start traveling to the region, they will be shocked to see nothing resembles what they have heard or read about Xinjiang. However, knowing the genocide claims will fall apart once people can travel to the region to see for themselves, some are now rushing to label China as genocidal in order to cause maximum damage to its image and economy through sanctions and boycotts (ahead of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics).

A local Kiwi returned from Xinjiang after sending some months teaching various groups around the district. dwellers in yerts to apartment dwellers. No area was blocked to him and he mixed widely. Saw no sign of repression, but there were security checks aimed at controlling earlier terrorism.
No genocide, no religious repression, overt ethnic tension and certainly plenty of older males with beards.
He found the Uighur hospitality was great and as he had learned basic Uighur language his mobility was very fluid.

He laughs at the stupidity of the US propaganda as did the Uighurs he stayed with.

  20. The you mean the Frum perspective ,,, who is the author of the article David Kilgour linked to ,,,,,

David Frum ,,,a neo-con warmonger ,,,, ” the George W. Bush speechwriter who introduced America to the “axis of evil.”

“The axis was a grouping of three countries — Iraq, Iran and North Korea — that were implicit allies in a plot to destroy America. The supposed ties between the three mostly came down to their mutual love for imaginary “weapons of mass destruction” and non-existent collaboration with al-Qaeda. ”

So Frum peddles lies to manufacture consent for war…. ‘Cost of war: 37 million displaced by the U.S. “War on Terror” since 9/11’ ,,,, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvmRzDqdxM0

“US War on Terror Kills Nearly 500,000 in Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan” ,,, “the number of indirect deaths was several times larger than deaths caused by direct war violence, “.

    Millions and millions dead.

And lets not forget ,,,the “war on Terror” is actually a ‘war on blow-back’.

Because that’s what the 9/11 attacks were ,,,, Osama Bin Laden, former freedom fighter according to his former sponsors the usa Govt,,,, and portrayed as such by the western media.

Osama relayed to Robert fisk that 9/11 was retaliation against the crimes of ‘the crusaders’…… Revenge for the starvation sanctions that killed half a million Iraqi children and civilians, that the usa said “was worth it” ,,,,

Revenge for making Palestinians ignored refuges for decades and decades,,,

,,,,and a violent protest against usa infidels having permanent military bases in Saudi Arabia ,,,.

“war advocates like Frum still can’t tell basic truths about Iraq even as they adopt the posture of contemplation and remorse. In particular, Frum’s claim that Saddam maintained a nuclear weapons program until 1996 is indisputably false.”

Frum sounds like a terrible person ,,, and part of the reason why the Usa is the Greatest Threat to peace, stability and prosperity in our World .
