PIL in Supreme Court Seeks to stop cutting of 2.5 lakh trees in the Bakaswaha Region (MP)

A PIL (Public Interest Litigation) has been filed in the Apex Court seeking a stay on the MP government’s project in Chhatarpur’s Bakaswaha region, where 2.5 lakh trees would be cut down to extract diamonds. The government has given this project to the Aditya Birla Group and is said to be worth about 2500 crores.
