Ian Axford Fellowship in Public Policy

Fulbright New Zealand and the Institute of Public Administration New Zealand, bring you this year’s two Ian Axford Fellows in Public Policy report-back seminar. At this event the Fellows’ will present an overview of their research projects and key learnings.

Ian Axford Fellows are public policy professionals from the US who are hosted at a New Zealand government agency for up to 5 months. The Fellowship aims to improve public policy practice in both the US and NZ via cross-fertilization of ideas, gain experience from international policy development and establish links with public policy thought leaders on both sides of the Pacific.

The 2023 Fellows presenting at the seminar:

Rachel Wolbers - from the Oversight Board (for Meta) has been researching “Next Steps for the Christchurch Call to Action” while gaining experience at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet.

Sam Mulopulos - from Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, U.S. Senate, has been researching “Supply Chain Resiliency: A comparative Analysis of Policy Solutions in New Zealand and the United States” while gaining experience at the Treasury and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade.
