To carry the knowledge from the South
Nau mai, haere mai ki tēnei mahi hosted by te rōpū rangahau, the Vision Mātauranga team of Ross Sea Region Research and Monitoring Plan.
This research aimed to engage Māori in a kōrero about relationships to Antarctica and the Southern Ocean, and aspirations for voice and representation in New Zealand’s Antarctic science, policy and governance.
The website includes a short film Te Whakairo and an accompanying booklet that introduces the kaupapa. We also have recordings from an online seminar series where Māori researchers discuss different aspects of their Antarctic work.
Nau mai, haere mai anō and thank you for engaging in this kaupapa.
Tihei mauri ora!
