Albury High School Alumni
Regretfully the AHS Centenary Committee has decided to cancel the planned Centenary plus one celebrations in October 2021.

Data will still be collected from completing this form and will be used to advise you of any future Albury High School events and reunions - so please register.

The following information has gone out to all who have registered.

It is being cancelled due to the uncertainty, unlikely involvement of students and concern about risks of CoVid 19 spreading. The committee has worked hopefully and enthusiastically for over 3 years now. This has not been an easy decision.

We do celebrate what has been achieved. The history book is a wonderful record of the first one hundred years of AHS. Students did celebrate the centenary last year and the 2020 school magazine “Southern Cross” is a special recognition of the centenary. The Albury Library Museum will continue the planned AHS Centenary display in September 2021. The school has a wonderful archives room and library staff will be accessing this material. In light of the Albury Library Museum display perhaps past students and staff would like to write us a one pager about their memories of school and where life has taken them in the intervening years. If you can add a past and present photograph that would be excellent. We will endeavour to compile these into a folder to be available during the Library display period and then to reside in the archives. Should you wish participate please email your contribution to Margie Gleeson at margie56@bigpond.net.au or post to AHS Centenary Committee, Albury High School, 625 Kiewa St, Albury 2640.
The school is also creating a new virtual tour of the school. This will be available via the school website from late October this year.
Sales of the book “A History of Albury High School” will remain available on the Trybooking website until the end of September this year. It is to be found under the event name Albury High School Centenary Book. Alternatively it may be purchased from the AHS front office. Approximately 50 copies remain available.
We hope that you and your families are safe and coping with these challenging times.
