Tuesday was a productive and dare we say honorable day for fans of Honor. The smartphone brand owned by Huawei Technologies held a launch event in Xi’an China, where it unveiled its latest Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro and they offer very compelling features for two phones that are being priced so extremely affordably.

The latest addition to Honor’s X-series will feature a pop-up front camera with an All-View display (92 percent body-to-screen ratio), a Kirin 810 processor, and a 48MP rear camera with advanced night vision capabilities. The 9X Pro ups the ante by offering an 8MP wide-angle camera that allows you to capture a wider perspective for landscape shots and group photos.

The new phones both sport a stunning X-shaped 3D gradient glass back that houses a fingerprint sensor located below the rear camera.

When introducing the latest additions to the X-series of Honor phones, George Zhao, President of Honor, insisted that the series continues to demonstrate the brand’s “commitment in delivering unrivaled products with unbeatable value.” George also mentioned that Honor 9X and 9X Pro will be coming to global markets but stopped short of revealing the exact release date.

The official sale in China begins today. The new X-series phones will be sold starting at 1,399 yuan (around $203) and 2,199 yuan (around $320), respectively. The Honor 9X comes in black, red, and blue, while the 9X Pro is available in black and purple.

Other products unveiled by honor

The Honor 9X and 9X Pro phones were not the only products unveiled by the brand. The tech giant also introduced its latest fitness tracker Honor Band 5 that features a relatively large 0.95-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 240×120 pixels, along with improved heart rate monitoring, and fitness and sleep-tracking capabilities.

They also announced a laptop – the Honor MagicBook Pro features a large 16.1-inch display with incredibly tiny bezels. Weighing only around 3.7 lbs., this is a very light notebook for its display size. It’s powered by an 8th-generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor. The notebook will be sold in China starting at 5,499 yuan (around $799).

The company also introduced a new color – called Icelandic White – for their flagship Honor 20 Pro. The color was inspired by the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon in Iceland and will be available for sale from July 30th in China.
