Children's Voices Matter! Poll your class.
Children have the right to have their views heard and considered by adults when decisions are being made that affect them - but our decision makers don't often do this! That's why our Children's Voices Project aims to bring the voices of children to decision makers to ensure children's voices are heard! If you prefer the students in your class to individually complete a poll on their own devices - they can use this link to another form for individuals. https://form.jotform.com/240767468700866 In 2019, the Government started a programme called Ka Ora, Ka Ako Healthy School Lunches. This gives free lunches to children at school. Around a million lunches are provided each week, to over 230,000 children in 998 schools and kura. Supporters of the programme say it improves children’s happiness, health and learning and supports children living in poverty. The Government is looking at changing the programme, saying that it costs a lot of money and creates a lot of waste. This could mean fewer free lunches for children who need them.
