At BIS, we offer students the opportunity to take a range of instrumental music lessons.  We currently have spaces available in our instrumental programme for some students to begin these lessons.  If your child has expressed an interest in these lessons, we would like to offer you the chance to take up this opportunity.

Enrolling for music lessons take place at the beginning of every term.  If you wish to cancel, please give the music department notice of half a term.

Students receiving instrumental lessons should participate in at least one of the related Extra Curricular Activities when advised by their teacher.  This is seen as a fundamental part of learning to play an instrument or learning to sing.

STUDENTS MUST:
- Arrive punctually to every lesson.
- Bring their instruments and music to every lesson.
- Practise regularly in order to make good progress.
- Enrol in a relevant ECA when recommended by their teacher.

PARENTS MUST:
- Check and sign practice notebooks before each lesson.
- Inform the Music Department if their child is not able to attend a scheduled lesson (keziah.jacombs@bisvietnam.com).

INVOICES:
- The cost of a 40 minute lesson is 400,000vnd.  Guitar lessons cost 575,000vnd per 40 minute lesson.
- Invoices will be issued shortly after the beginning of each term and should be paid promptly to the school cashier.
- For students starting lessons part-way through a term, the invoice will be adjusted to take this into account.
- There are no refunds for lessons cancelled by students or lessons missed.  We do take into account school activities when planning numbers of lessons.  However, the instrumental teachers do their best to make up any that are missed.

HIRING AN INSTRUMENT:
- The first term is free of charge.  Thereafter, there is a small hiring fee of 1,100,000vnd per term.
