Freightways to pay half year dividend of 15.5c

Freightways will deliver a dividend of 15.5 cents a share after posting a net profit after tax of $22 million for the six months to December 2020.The trans-Tasman express package company shelved its final dividend last year amid uncertainty about the economic impact of the covid pandemic. While NPAT was down by a quarter from $29.2m for the comparable period to December 2019, that did include a non-recurring expense of $19.2m due to a change in the fair value estimate for the final instalment for the purchase of food supply chain company B...
