These obstacles include force majeure or an act of god that are outside of any party's control and simultaneously impede upon a couple's ability to plan their own wedding.
This book includes recent case studies that feature interviews with engaged couples and newlyweds from November 2019 through April 2020. It also features wedding industry professionals in practically every vendor category who currently offer remote services for couples getting married during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. These two components help predict wedding trends on the rise, as well as emergent wedding trends that are expected to become increasingly popular after shelter-in-place orders have been lifted.
Ivy Summer is a Master of Business Administration and Certified Wedding Planner with 10 years of experience working with budget-conscious brides in the Bay Area. She’s been based in Greece since February 2019, gaining experience in luxury, celebrity and destination wedding planning and her independent travel agency, specializing in Italy, Greece, Scotland and Ireland.
Before she moved from San Francisco, Ivy planned and coordinated the Guinness World Record attempt at Largest Public Wedding in 2015, introduced the annual Cannabis Wedding Expo to California in 2016, and launched America's first cannabis art museum tours and cannabis yacht tours from 2016 through 2018.
