TNG eWallet No Longer Supports FPX To Add-Value – Switch To DuitNow Transfer

Touch n Go eWallet today announced they have upgraded, moving their digital wallet add-on feature from using FPX to DuitNow Transfer. With this step, all top-up processes from now on will require DuitNow Transfer – apart from the use of a debit or credit card, as well as a top-up code.

Each TNG eWallet account is assigned a unique DuitNow number, which can be used through existing online banks for transaction purposes. Apart from transaction convenience, other reasons were not specified by TNG.

For information, some transactions involving FPX are subject to service charges, unlike DuitNow which is not subject to them. There is a probability that this factor is also taken into account by TNG eWallet, in addition to user comfort for the value-adding process.

For those of you who often topped up TNG eWallet via FPX before ii, don't be surprised to see that it is no longer offered. To use DuitNow Transfer, you just need to copy the DuitNow Transfer account number on your TNG eWallet, then to your banking service. Select DuitNow money transfer using a bank account, enter the account number you copied earlier and select TNG eWallet as the provider bank.

Make the transfer, and then the balance will be added to your TNG eWallet account.

Although adding value to TNG eWallet balance no longer supports FPX, but for the GO+ part, FPX support is still maintained for now.
