Denver's One-Stop Shop for Project Services

Development Services staff helps to make the city's vision a reality.  This is where building projects are reviewed, green-lighted and inspected. It's also the home for neighborhood inspections, ensuring quality-of-life standards for Denver's communities. Through each of these critical roles, Development Services helps to implement the city's vision for an outstanding Denver.

Search a list of companies that currently have obtained a contractor's license from the City and County of Denver.  Be sure to check the expiration date and status to make sure the contractor's license is still active.

Use e-permits to apply or pay for Quick Permits online. (Quick Permits do not require plan review.) You can also use e-permits to check permit status, pay fees, schedule inspections, search development records, and download issued permits and approved plans.

Electronic plan review is now available for most projects, allowing you to submit applications and PDF plans for zoning, building, wastewater, and fire permit approval without coming to the permit counter in person.

View electronic submittal instructions here.

Review types that have an electronic submittal option:

  • Single-family/duplex zoning and building permits
  • Commercial/multifamiliy building permits
  • Commercial zoning permits
  • Fire permits
  • Sewer Use and Drainage Permits (SUDP)
  • Site Development Plans (SDPs)
  • Quick permits

To check your permit status using the property address, click below and then go to the "Development Svcs" tab. Search by address and open the building log record from the list of results. You will find processing status under "Record Info."

Alternatively, you can check permit status using the log number you received when you submitted your application and building plans.

You can schedule building and zoning construction inspections online, in person, or by using the automated phone system. To schedule a zoning inspection for a sign-off on a business license, or to report a property maintenance concern, call Denver 3-1-1 at 720-913-1311.

Use the  DevelopDENVER mapping tool to view property details including zoning, landmark status, inspector districts and more.
