2022-23 - Dessesow appeared in 29 games getting the start in 22 for the Lions as a guard while averaging 11.7 points, 2.5 threes, 2.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.7 steals and 0.3 blocks a game in 29.1 minutes ... For the season scored 338 points going 113-for-275 from the field, 73-for-190 from three, 39-for-51 from free throws while grabbing 73 rebounds, dishing out 60 assists, blocking eight shots and collecting 21 steals ... Shot 41.1 percent from the field, 38.4 percent from three and 76.5 percent from free throws.
2021-22 - Dessesow appeared in 29 games for the Lions drawing the start in 27 as a guard ... Averaged 32.0 minutes, 11.3 points, 2.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists a game while shooting 87.5 percent from free throws and 35.9 percent from three going 71-of-198... Scored a season-high 26 points against Southwest Baptist (Nov. 19) going 9-of-17 from the field, 6-of-13 from three and two-of-two from free throws... Against John Brown (Nov. 27) also made six threes for his season-high tally while scoring 24 points... Collected seven rebounds against Arkansas Tech (Nov. 23) and added 10 points and four assists on the road... Had three games where he made five or more threes this season and scored 15 or more points in seven games... Made his 100th career three during the season and provided his 100th assist as well.
2020-21 - Dessesow battled injuries and appeared in 16 games starting in six as a guard for the Lions ... Averaged 29.6 minutes, 11.6 points the most from the bench, 2.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists a 1.3 assist to turnover ratio, 0.6 steals while shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 37.6 percent from three ... In the season opener against Central Oklahoma (Nov. 19) on the road had a season-high 21 points and four assists going 7-of-15 from the field, 5-of-11 from three and 2-of-2 from the free throw line ... Had 15 points and a season-high six rebounds against Central Missouri (Nov. 24) on the road ... Registered a season-high seven assists against Pittsburg State (Feb. 20) at home while adding 21 points shooting 7-of-10 from the field, 4-of-6 from three and 3-of-4 from the free throw line ... In the MIAA ranked 20th in assists (53) ... Part of the Lions team that was was ranked in Division II, seventh in defensive rebounds per game (29.35) and total rebounds /9888), ninth in assists (368), 10th in free throws attempted (488) and blocks (81), 11th in free throws made (354), 18th in scoring offense (83.4), 20th in field goal percentage (49.0), 21st in three-point field goals made (202), 22nd in assists per game (16.0), 27th in three-point field goals attempted (532) and 29th in rebounding margin (+4.7). The Lions led the MIAA in assists per game, defensive rebounds, scoring offense and rebounds per game (38.61), were second in blocked shots per game (3.5), field goal percentage, rebound margin and blocks. Ranked third in scoring margin (+1.5), three-point field goals made per game (8.8), three-point field goals percentage (38.0), assists and rebounds. The Lions were fourth in field goal percentage defense (45.0) and three-point field goals made, fifth in free throws made, offensive rebounds per game (9.26), sixth in three-point field goals attempted, assist to turnover ratio (1.03) and free throws attempted.
2019-20 - Dessesow appeared in 20 games for the Lions as a guard... Scored a season-high 23 versus Northwest Missouri in the MIAA Tournament championship game... Had a season-high six assists to go along with scoring 11 points and grabbing seven rebounds versus Saint Mary... On the season averaged 6.6 points per game, 1.0 assists, 1.9 rebounds, while shooting 50.5 percent from the field, 37.7 percent from behind the three-point line and 88.9 from the free-throw line... Part of the Lions team that finished No. 1 in the MIAA in scoring offense (84.8), scoring margin (13.5), total rebounds (1,192), rebounds per game (38.5) while finishing in the top-3 in field goal percentage (.486), three-point percentage (.379), three-point field goals made (323), three-point field goals attempted (853), free-throw percentage (.779), free-throws attempted (592), free-throws made (461), offensive rebounds (330), rebounding margin (7.3), assist-to-turnover ratio (1.29), blocked shots (107), assists (461)... While ranked in the top-20 nationally in two categories: 12th in scoring margin (13.5) and 14th in rebounding margin (7.3).
Prior to Southern -Â Dessesow played at Admiral Farragut Academy in Florida for coach Julian Allen and the Blue Jackets ... A four-year letter winner on the court, Dessesow averaged 16.7 points, 4.3 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 1.9 steals as a senior ... Dessesow was a two-time All-Conference pick and was named All-County as a senior when he concluded his career as a 1,000 point scorer for the team.
Personal - Winston is the son of Dayna Davis and plans to major in kinesiology at Southern.
